Even after reading everyone's comments, I still couldn't get the red dude to cooperate. Finally, I made a different move, and he self-destructed!

I don't know why he self-destructed. I've noticed in several other levels that the red dudes will shoot themselves or self-destruct, but have never managed to find a repeatable formula.

Neat little trick with this suicidal shadow. Sometimes they run faster than their bullets and kill themselves this way.
