I tried to recreate the Mathmos Astro lava lamp (link). This is the best I've come up with. It's not very good, but maybe someone will find a use for it.
The UV Mapping was a pain, because the object is cone shaped, but I managed to get it to tile seamlessly.
Modeled in Wings3D. Textures created with Photoshop CS2.
