Stinker rescue

Post by Andrea » Wed Jun 15, 2005 6:39 am

Okay, I decided to start working on Stinker Rescue because it will probably take me awhile. The problem is, I can't figure out how to get past the first part!

I'm sure it's probably much easier than I'm making it and I'll kick myself when I finally figure it out, but it's driving me absolutely crazy and I wondered if someone could give me a hint.

Thanks in advance for saving me from insanity. :?

I don't know if you sent the pm or not because I didn't get one. :(

BUT, I did figure out the first part on my own. :) I guess I jumped the gun asking for help!

Thanks anyhow Liz. I really appreciate it.

Sorry Andrea - just after I said I would send a pm, our internet went down. Glad you managed to get the first bit.

Stinker Rescue is the hardest puzzle I've ever solved and it took me weeks. You need to work out each character's bit of the puzzle and then decide how to put it all together.

Good luck.

Okay, I figured out Stinky's part, Loof's part and the ice. However, Peegue's section has me completely stumped. I've been staring at my monitor forever.

I feel like grabbing his little top hat and tearing it into a thousand pieces. **Sigh** This game is going to drive me to drink! :?

I have to go to bed before I go blind or crazy or both.

Wouldn't you know it? Soon after I posted that I figured out the boulders. I'm going to keep my mouth shut now since I seem to figure it out right after complaining about it. Or, even better, maybe I'll complain more often and finish faster that way! :P

Can anyone tell me if you can re-use a deflector? Everytime I attempt to re-use it by quickly moving it, the fireball goes out as soon as it hits it the second time. Am I just not fast enough or is this not possible?

Hi Andrea,
Yes you can use it twice on the same shot. You're not getting it into position quite fast enough. Keep trying, you'll get it. :) It took me several tries, but I eventually got it to work. Still haven't finished the level though. :)

Even though I have finished the level, that bit took many tries to get right. At least you can push the reflector back into position and try again.

Thanks. I finally got the first part of it with the deflectors, but the second part isn't working. I've figured out a way to do it, but I haven't been fast enough and the way I'm doing it I can't push it back to try again. Is there another way? I don't necessarily want you to tell me what it is, but I'd like to know if there's another possibility.

This level is driving me nuts!!! :?

As far as I can work out, the quick fingered method and no second chance is all you can do in the UFO room.
