The Sandpit - MOFI

Post by Erwin042 » Fri Dec 19, 2008 10:16 am

So here is my next step for help.

I've been down in the pit with the white gates.
I think I opened some of the gates wrong, so I got a dead end.
But I'm not sure how to proceed further in this level.

Anyone in for a hand here?

SPOILER

I think I will get the star myself without help.
I think there are 2 green gates.
you pick up 1 green key.
When you open the second gate on your path, you get stuck
so you need to return to the starting point and open that first green gate.
Then it's searching for the right keys to open up gates and open the white gates to get the star
.

SPOILER 2

Post by Erwin042 » Fri Dec 19, 2008 11:57 am

Important hint here too.
Don't open the red gate to acces the path to the white gate rightaway. You need that key more elsewhere on the other red gate. When I got 3 white I entered thru this red gate!

I've done this one by trial and error. You need to look what's on the other side of the gates before opening them. If there's only a white key then go and open the other gate of the same colour. I got stuck a few times by not taking notice of what was there. I think there are two light blue gates too, or is it dark blue, I can't remember now. :?

How do you get that second green key. There doesn't look like there is anyway to access it. There is no colored block in the way, it is just stuck between the sand road.

There is a button somewhere on the left that raises a bridge.

Everytime I have done this level, I wind up with different keys in different locations, but not enough to get me to the end....does anyone have a solution as to how the getting of the keys is suppose to go?

Get whatever you can without opening gates. Any keys you pick up that open gates look what's behind the gate before you open it. If there's only a white key, not a coloured key, then don't open that gate, look for the other one of the same colour. Leave the white keys till last. I haven't made a route as such but that's the best way to go about it. There is a lot of to-ing and fro-ing from one level to another.

I started collecting keys, but opened up only gates with another color key behind them.....and still cannot get to the end of this level....what I will do is go back and just collect first and then open....can you tell me which colored key I should use first?

Gosh!

But it is still relaxing, love the Music.... :)

Yeah, it's only one key down there.
It's lot of running back and forth, up and down. Popos hint is the main thing to do in order to get to the end.
I think Loirae is working on a solution for this level, she might be able to help more if needed.

I DID IT!!!!

:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

But don't ask me how....every time I started this level, I wound up doing it differently....and this time it Worked :!: :!: :!: :!:

This has to be one of my favorite levels so far....... :D

Thank you to all who helped....including Loirae who replyed to me right away.....I just don't know how you guys ..... Merlins can remember how your solved the levels....I did this without a solution, because I was confusing myself....... :? I hope that makes sense....I just kept going around and around and taking different keys each time I played this level......

One thing I do recall is that the advice not to open any color gate unless there is a colored key....sometimes you will find a white key along with the colored key....that is alright to open the gate...but NOT if there is only a white key....just keep walking around in circles just they said, up and down.....until you wind up with one Blue Key....that is the last colored key that you will need to get the final white key, which will be number 6.

Gee, am I proud of myself or what :?:
