Sorry, what are bosses?

I'm not realy that good with and WAE stuff...some people are mentioning bosses in their hubs, but what do they mean by that?

It's like that fire flower in the Fire and Ice adventure in WA1. There can be mostly fire flower bosses since they have hit points.
