Dialog Item Check help

Post by LAN » Mon Jul 28, 2008 3:15 pm

For some reason, whenever I try to do an item check with dialog, it always acts like I don't have the item, even if I do. Am I doing something wrong?

I once had this problem too - if I remember correctly you have to set the id of the item as well as the function id to the id you've set in the dialog.

Am I supposed to add the Function ID AND the ID to the data? I thought the data was just supposed to be the plain-old-granola-au-natural-no-frills item ID? Somebody! Please! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :o

The Function ID of an idea is about what the item does, and it is not related to ID. If you want to run a dialog check (in a dialog, of course), you only need to worry about the ID.

I thought that, too, but when I tried it, it didn't work. I needed to set the Function ID to the same value to make it work.

(However, that was in v0.80; I didn't do any adventures with item check after that, so maybe that's already fixed?)

I have v0.95, not v0.80. I will try setting the Function ID to the same thing as the ID.

Luc, the Function ID isn't related to the ID.
