Ugh, why are half of you so hateful towards it and half of you think it's amazing? It's neither. It's not anything ground-breaking, but level design is still good. This forum has 2 subsections just for level design, and you're saying level design shouldn't be praised? Why is there this argument over it?

DEMO IS RELEASED!

Second, my game is SMB-1 styled. The wee engine and others are SMB3-SMW style. I wasn't able to use it for this because of the style clashing. Otherwise, I would easily have used that instead of working hard for this now.
Third, you can tell whatever you want. You can tell, I copied engines or made clones or stole somebody's credit or made my own engine fully or anything you wish. It won't affect me by any means. I love Mario. I have fun creating it anyways.
Fourth, I don't take any credit for making Mario games or Wonderland hubs, except the fact that I post it here or it comes under my username. It's because they are owned by their respective owners. Even if I use other's engines, I don't take credit at all saying it's my game. To be frank, I just say in the first post that "it is a Mario game" I don't use "my". I just say, Nintendo owns all its rights. The only project I've take real credit is RVIAN because it's completely mine. I'll even agree that WA-TNPQ is owned by Patrick. It's not about credit for me. It's about fun and joy for me. The only credit I take here is for the level and map design because it's mandatory.
Fifth, you asked me why I didn't make my own original Mario game with different levels. I've already made SMB-TLQ, but you guys have ignored it. In my first post, I even mentioned that I'll making another original game after this one. So please wait for that one too.
Sixth, I have fun creating mario games in any way I want. My moral is that I have fun making it and sharing it with others.
Seventh, I don't really understand why this confusion came up. It's simple. We love Wonderland. We use RTWP and WA editors. People cheer us on it. It's similar to using mario engines for mario games. Why not cheer for those too? It's the same case with Mario too
Eighth, the whole point of this project is to have fun. I didn't make it to showcase my game making skills. I simply made it because I was bored and I like Mario Forever.
Ninth, I can give links to 100's of mario engines. But if you play this game and compare it with those, you can find a lot of differences as proof. Some of those engines are hello, dragezeey, supernova, weee, smbx, osmb1, osmb2, and lots more on MFGG.
Tenth, to summarize, I will say that it's not my OWN engine because I used some codes from other engines.[/quote]
This is what I wanted to say.
Thank you for listening kindly.
I'm happy even after what happenned here because it didn't bug me at all.
Because criticism or speaking bad about me doesn't affect me anymore.
I have evolved from a childish DARK DRAGO into a calm and composed Blazeknight.
My 3 years of experience has helped me evolve.
You guys have been good and helped me evolve.
Thank you guys for all your support and for support in the future too.
This is the first project I have done without having a heavy weight in my heart.
I'm really grateful and thankful.
Still, I keep having a wonderful time here.
I love this place and the people here.
There are times I argue, but that's nothing.
The real deal is the friendship here.
Okay then, now that I'm completely fresh and free, let's continue to play the game.
Please play it for fun with a fresh mind

First, this game is a remake. So, it's not called original. But I'm well aware of it. I wanted to remake it, so I did.Public wrote:Blazeknight, why are you making a remake? Isn't it unoriginal? Moreover, why do you use some other engines instead of your own?

No no no no no no no no, I won't say I'm scared of FBI or something. But to be on the safer side, I think it was betterMyNameIsKooky wrote:Because the FBI are totally going to come for you and break down your door when they find out you're using an emulator, right?
Once when I was Dark Drago and told MNIK that his custom texture was average, Emerals141 told me that the word "average" hurts people more than I thought it was. And then this Qloof and other mods would give a big lecture telling a line "Almost all that you did are nothing but recoloring" which would have links to all the recolored stuff I did. So I thought average was a rank for the worst opinion.Nobody wrote:I just realized "Average" was the worst opinion on the poll.

Agreed. That's exactly what I wanted to say. They say using Mario engines for level design is "falling into one of his tricks" according to Sammy. Well, he shouldn't think of it that way. My personal opinion is that even if someone makes something really bad or glitchy or completely useless, I'd appreciate that person for making the least effort on it, provided it's not a theft. So Sammy, try to appreciate people (not just me) for anything they do. Try to be more generous and benevolent.Master Wonder Mage wrote:Ugh, why are half of you so hateful towards it and half of you think it's amazing? It's neither. Bah, it's a Mario game; people got heated after I just posed some questions. Sorry about the mess, I'll try this out if I have the time, but I'm not a big fan of, nor am I good at, Mario games.

Average is bad because it basically means there's absolutely nothing special or particularly interesting about it, it's just not bad.Blazeknight wrote:Once when I was Dark Drago and told MNIK that his custom texture was average, Emerals141 told me that the word "average" hurts people more than I thought it was. Cool, the demo is out. I'll have to try it out later.
I remember I used to play SMBX, too bad it got cancelled.
Also, Mario engines are really easy and simple to make. I could make a very simple one in less that a week or two (a month at the very most) with at least the basic features for Mario.
I'm not trying to offend anyone, or saying it to anyone directly. I'm just pointing it out.

If you bothered to copy and paste this signature, or zoom in, to make it possible to read, then I wasted 5-10 seconds of your life.

Also, I tried the game. I can see an editor for this somewhere down the track.
There's a glitch where a black square appears in the top-left corner for less than a second when you change to a different location (then goes completely black, etc.).
Also, can you make a pipe animation (rather than just how Mario disappears)?
You also need to make a way to exit the game (I had to use the Task Manager). Also, I got stuck after I finished the first level, Mario would not continue onto the second level.

The black square glitch is because, if its the starting time of the level, I think the 320x240 size is being ported into a full screen view. That's why it happens.

A BIT BAD NEWS!
I've gone to my Grandpa's house and my internet failed to function properly. So, I couldn't upload my hub files at all earlier. What's even more distressing is that, I'll be staying there till the end of JULY. My house and my Grandpa's house is over 2000 km far away. So, I can't go back and use those files.
So, I'll have to postpone all my works for another 1.5 months (45 long days). Brr... it's going to be really boring for those days. So sorry for breaking the bad news.
