Actually my friend - who is a fan of sonic - says sonic colors is not really good. The voices for Sonic and Amy I know are bad. Sonic sounds low and Amy sounds like Minnie Mouse.

In my version it's all weird and all the cutscenes except the final two are muted, so I can't comment on that. It's good with 2D and 3D, and the levels are fairly imaginative. I like the way the wisps are used too. The overall story is good, and the cutscenes are funny. It has a collection of glitches, some of which are like "no duh sega" but I'd probably give it a 9/10 or something, I dunno.

Um, no. Sonic Colors is far from "not really good". There are people rating it the second-best Sonic game ever made. Including me, which is a tall order because the last Sonic game I really cared much about was from 1994, which was before I was even born.

Plus, if you have the patience to get every single Red Ring in Colors, then you're going to find something amazing.

Also, Sonic's voice isn't bad, it just takes time to get used to the lower pitch. I know I thought it was bad at first but once I got used to it, thank god they switched, Jason Griffith had no emotion at all for the role.

Also Tails finally sounds like a boy again so there.

AR? :)

Yeah, It's mad hard.Fall into that stream and instant death. The last hit is eazy if you get a good start, though. Then again, I only beat him 3-4 times in the 1-2 years i had the game.Jump over his head when he chaces you, and if you do it right you get a break.

Sonic 3 and Knuckles, right?
Yep, exactly.

My top 5 are as follow:

1) Sonic 3 & Knuckles
2) Sonic Colors (Wii)
3) Sonic the Hedgehog (Sega Genesis)
4) Sonic Adventure 2
5) Sonic Adventure

Heroes would be 6th, but honestly, Sonic 2 isn't up there, I just can't get into it at all. Same with CD.

2. Sonic Adventure DX Directors Cut(GC)
3. Sonic Chronicals:The Dark Brotherhood(DS)
4. Sonic Heroes(GC)
5. Sonic Mega Colection(if it counts)(GC)

Shadow The Hedgehog(GC) would go at 2 or 3 if it counts.

I personally loved SHTH on Xbox but it didn't feel much like a sonic game.

The games I've played (can't have top 5):
Sonic The Hedgehog for Game Gear & other 8bit consoles
Sonic The Hedgehog for Sega Genesis
Sonic Rush (DS)
IMO SR's difficulty incline is worse than MOFI's.

Sorry, what does SHTH stand for?

No, the first H stands for the H in Shadow. STH is used to refer to Sonic (such as Sonic 2006, which is unmentionable).

I'm curious, why couldn't you get into Sonic 2 at all, but have Sonic 1 on your list? Personally I'm biased since Sonic 2 was the first game in the series that I played (and the first console game I played), but I think there are a lot of things to love in that game - mainly the bosses, amount of levels (12!), and the music.

Here's my favorite Sonic games, that I've played:

1. Sonic 3 & Knuckles
2. Sonic 2
3. Sonic Spinball
4. Sonic 1
5. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle
6. Sonic Heroes (I don't remember it very well honestly)

As you can see I favor the old-school games :P

I dunno, the level design doesn't seem as good to me (plus the special stages are the most annoying thing ever to me). Also they cut a lot of the good stuff (Hidden Palace Zone, word).

My little list.

Hey guess who's back?

Anyways, first post in the past 2 years or so, happens to be off-topic.

My List:
1: Sonic 3K (Simply better than all the rest, I also have all the music files including 8-bit versions)
2: Sonic 4: Ep 1 (Shocking right? The game is short but sweet, I've beaten it at least 14 times going all the way from the start to the end, it never gets boring.)
3: Sonic 2 (The final boss was a lot harder than 3k's, but it was really well made.)
4: Sonic CD (Not the most well known sonic game in the world, but the concepts it had were incredible, it needs a sequal.)
5: Sonic The Hedgehog (The original needs some special treatment, afterall, it started the sonic craze.)

Further Analysis
Sonic 4: Yeah, I've heard the reports and rumors about it, (Wrong physics, Too short, just a copy of the others). However I've found that reguardless of all of those few minor gripes, its a really good game, well worth my 15 bucks.

Sonic 2: Jesus Chirst! That final boss was a pain to take down, I eventually mastered the technique of pwning him though, My record for the final level is 1:09, if anyone can beat that send me a PM.

Sonic CD: This one is an oddball in from sonic's classic games. Some of the interesting things were the time travel feature, weird sounds (The music was even weirder!), and the special stage; that to this day, I REALLY liked. And the boss battles? Don't even get me started on those, each one was unique, some you didn't even have to hit Robotnik to beat him. This game was a masterpiece.

Sonic 2's final boss is probably the hardest of all of them, considering you die in one hit. It used to frustrate me, but I beat it often when I was little. Never got close to 1:09 I don't think, though!

By all means, I'll agree that Sonic 4's fun. However, the physics are the main complaint, and it's something Sega has no excuse for, which is why people are mad.

Sega swore they'd deliver a game with retro physics, time and time again - in the end we were given what was basically Sonic Rush 3.

I had a good amount of fun with Sonic 4 (especially after beating all the special stages), but in the end I don't think Sega should have had the nerve to call it Sonic 4.

Though Sonic Rush's physics are very close to retro.
And THERE'S A SONIC RUSH 2?!
*remembers the difficulty spike between WA and MOFI*
*faints*

According to random unnameable sources, Sonic 4: Ep 1 was Sega experimenting. And that episode 2 would be much larger and hopefully better.

The physics were odd at first, then I got used to it, problem is once ya get used to it, it's hard to go back (Narg). Nothing to shake a fist at, It's retro enough for me.

Another thing a wonder - Why was SC DS E3 demo a clone of SR? Why would sega lie to us and then give us the game they said it was?" Sonic Colors is unleashed's Day Levels."
*gives SR clone*
*Releases what they said in quote*
wait what
