ffoofgy! (game project, stolen from old off-topic)

I began working on ffoofgy in June 2010, but stopped it in favor of 3.sprglbrglgaMe. Now that 3.sprglbrglgaMe has been released, I'm getting back to working on this.

As some of you have heard, this is a game that takes place on a tiny screen: 48×32 pixels.

The game will mainly be a find-the-correct-key-to-press game, but will have other types thrown in, including a slightly different version of the Buy Cows subgaMe from 3.sprglbrglgaMe.

ffoofgy is pronounced with a hard G and a hard OO as in "goose", and the Y sounds like the EE in "feed". The IPA notation would be something like /ˈfuːfˌgiː/.

Read the last paragraph and the signature together. :lol:

Looking forward to the game!

A 32x48 game is an interesting idea, but I'd probably have trouble seeing everything in something so small.

Also, where do you come up with the names for these games? :lol:

@tyteen4a03: actually, I should probably change my signature then, because in Lojban, ffoofgy would be pronounced something like "fofgü". :lol:

@MyNameIsKooky: this one was a name I made up back when I was six, before I even knew how to program.
When it comes to names, my goal is usually to pick a name that probably no one has ever chosen before. If you search Google for "3.sprglbrglgaMe" or "ffoofgy" the only results are related to my games.

@boywhoflies: actually, no. :P

The first playthrough may take a long time, but once you become an expert, you can finish it in under five minutes. I challenge you to speedrun the game.
There are also two secrets to be found, both of which make the game somewhat easier. If you don't find the first secret you won't find the second one either.

You can press F4 to switch to full-screen after all. It was just too cruel to keep it windowed.

YOU can't? You've beaten, like, evrey Evil Toaster. Evil Toaster is super-hard!

Well, if you can't, I have no chance at all. :P

Isn't Evil Toaster hard action-wise?

ffoofgy, while it may seem completely action- and luck-based, actually relies largely on logical conclusions and common sense. It's a different type of hard.
