Shard Music

Post by cloudrac3r »

Hitting the shard in Wonderland Adventures can make tunes. Unfortunately, there's only seven of them, so you're pretty limited with what you can do.
So I used a program called Audacity (basically it can modify sound in any way imaginable) to record the sound of a shard being hit, and then copied it and changed the pitches to make....... well, this.
It's a .ogg file. If you can't play it, install the software from http://www.vorbis.com/ which should install codecs or something.
Why didn't I use an MP3? Reasons.
Alternatively, clicking this link should hopefully play it straight off, if you're using a browser which supports playing .ogg s.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

You can actually make a lot, lot more than seven sounds with shards in the game. Using the Inventory Across Saves glitch, you can give shards the "value" of any item that can be held in the inventory. I believe every item sounds at least slightly different, including really really low tones and really really high tones.

I don't own FL Studio.
I do use Firefox. I don't think Internet Explorer supports OGGs.

Don't need to buy it to make music just can't open the project again until you buy it.

VLC Player supports ogg,mp3

who uses Internet Explorer?

and Audacity is bad HQ you should use wave pad it's HQ sound. if trial is over then uninstall and reinstall.

use speed and pitch change effect. in wave pad to change shard sound.

FL demo: That doesn't sound very fun if I need to restart my computer. In fact I have tried the demo before and it is very confusing.
VLC player: Good good!
Who users IE: Anyone who is trying to download an alternative browser :P
Audacity is bad HQ: I don't know what you mean by HQ. High quality?
Wave pad trial: That sounds an awful lot like piracy to me...

If Caton is talking about High Quality, then he's wrong. Audacity supports importing and exporting WAV, FLAC, and M4A files, which are all lossless audio types. MP3 and OGG are lossy, which is why they don't sound very good, so don't use them.

Yeah, that's what I thought. I'm just using an OGG to keep the file size down. I can upload a WAV if you like Caton?

Let me be clear:
I like Audacity because it is free.
I would give Wavepad a try, but it is not free and I have no way of paying.
If you want me to make a high quality WAV of the shard song, just ask. I will do it.
We can now stop arguing please Caton, garirry and jdl.
