For anyone who wants to make their own Urxon puzzles, I have provided a toolkit for use in the editor.
To install, simply unzip the attachment in the editor's root folder.
The contents are as follows:
- The Urxon icons.
- Wonderland object presets (wops) for Urxon items.
- The objects that create and disable the Urxon item particle effects are also provided as wops, for those willing to abuse the flip glitch for the sake of aesthetics. (Alternatively, if you're like me, you could use a modded editor that lets you endlessly stack objects on the same tile without having to use the flip glitch.) These objects use IDs 200-206.
- A wlv template for anyone who wants to make puzzles involving Urxons. The wlv contains each Urxon object along with the full mechanism. Urxon 5 (Flash) is not incorporated in the mechanism since Flash does not work properly with Urxons, but I have included it in the provided wop files for completion's sake. Object IDs 250-260 are used by the mechanism. Make sure to have any ordinary objects not use ID -1, so that they don't get affected by the mechanism. For instance, I get by with using ID 0 for standard objects. Make sure that you keep the initial general command at the player's starting location, otherwise the wlv will MAV.

Re: Urxon Toolkit Expansion
Idk why I spontaneously remembered two years after the initial release of The Force of Urxon that I have never shared my urxon wops anywhere, but here we are
Notice: If you are not yet comfortable with working with urxons, then I highly suggest starting with MNIK's template first.
But if you're feeling adventurous and want to play around with urxons more, here are what the new objects do:
- Urxonull: This is the white urxon. Its function is essentially to turn the "force of urxon" on/off. So instead of your magic constantly switching to another magic color, you will instead fire whatever magic you normally would with whatever glove charge you have in your hand. Friendly reminder that you can change urxon colors all you want, but they won't take effect until you remember to turn the urxons back on again! (Though I'm sure you could rewire it so it only turns off with urxonull and everything else turns it back on... in hindsight, not sure why I didn't do that originally lol)
- Urxon Ultra: This is the rainbow urxon. This activates a dialogue (1.dia) which lets you pick whatever colored urxon you want (except flash ;p)
- Urx1: Urxones are basically 1-use urxons. Their icons are the urxons with a x1 in the lower right corner.
- Urxorp: Not really urxorbs, since they're not really orbs, but rather cuboids (idk what "orp" means either) change the magic of urxon immediately upon being stepped into, and cannot be picked up.
Modifications: You are free to modify anything you want! Just note that you might break something - I'd keep a base copy around somewhere so you don't lose anything! If you don't want to do that, then skip to the bottom! Otherwise, here are a few things you can do:
Adding Flash: I tried fitting the extra instructions in the description, but due to the complexity of flash and the lack of space in the description, I should note that urxon is broken (because of how flash works), so I never use it. Since indigo urxons exist, however, I decided to do a gag where an ice-breaking sound effect plays if you try to use it. Using a rainbow urxon, you will also receive a text about how it doesn't work.
However, you may use the two little CMD255 versions of the cmd4 and cmd10 that I placed above the rightmost turtle if you want to also allow flash. (You would have to modify the rainbow urxon dialogue for flash too if you plan on using that.) Just remember that it's completely broken unless you use it with a normal flash charger - which, like blink, breaks with spells that aren't their own.
Dialogue: You can change these however you want lol. If you don't plan on using ban signs, feel free to completely disregard them. If you do, feel free to change how they look or what the text reads. These are merely provided to keep the theme I went for in The Force of Urxon. Similarly, you may change how the rainbow urxon's dialogue looks or works as you please! You could even add a dialogue specifically for white urxons if you want a clearer cue for whether urxons are active or not.
Banned Magic: As mentioned above, I used Ban Signs to denote that certain urxons were not allowed to be utilized in certain .wlvs. You can really use any indication that a magic doesn't work that you want to use; the ban signs are just the decorative visual cue that I came up with!
If you want to ban a specific magic (or urxon, in rainbow/urxonulls' cases) from an area (like flash lol), make sure you delete the correct IDs for CMD 10 and 4 (250 for floing, 251 for pow, 252 pop, 253 grow, 254 brr, 255 flash, 256 blink, 260 core mechanism / urxonull, 270 rainbow - also feel free to change as you please as long as FN ID of the base urxon matches the IDs of the commands you wish to activate).
I'd also recommend copying the cmd 10 used for flash magic to have the same ID as the magic you want to exclude; it'll add just that extra bit of "Oops! That didn't work!" to the adventure to have a glove discharge sound effect play. Similarly, you can create a copy of 1.dia so different types of magic go to the second interchange.
I think that's it! Now for the actual download:
PLACE THIS IN YOUR CORE WONDERLAND FOLDER WITH YOUR EDITOR / PLAYER ! It will automatically put the contents in the right folders!
Below's a zip file for my Urxon Expansion, which includes:
- a modified version of MNIK's template level from above (Title: UrxonTemplateExpanded; Title: Expanded Urxon Template), featuring:
-- 1.wlv (all of the machinery and a copy of every object not including special effects)
-- 1.dia (rainbow urxon) and 2-10.dia (ban signs)
- the modified urxon icons (icons urxon2)
- my expansion to the Urxon object category, which includes all of my new modified urxons and urxon-related objects.
Hope you enjoy! Let me know if there's anything wrong with it
