We Need Your Prayers !!

I know this out of the norm for this section of Wonderland, but I'm here to ask for prayers for our son, who at this moment is fighting for his life. I consider all of us family in here and therefore feel the need to let you know what is going on. About a week ago one of our sons (Davey) went to see the Dr. thinking he had a really bad infected Boil. As it turned out our community hospital sent him immediately (by ambulance) to a better hospital in Spokane, Wa. It wasn't a boil like he thought, it was Cellulitus and it went septic on his system and shut down his vital organs. They have all but his kidneys working ok now. Which are now functioning to a little under 25% and failing. They have been trying everything in there power to cure our son and are fighting with him in his battle for his life.

They are so many little details but this is the whole of his fight for his life in a nut shell.

So I am asking you my Wonderland family to please say a prayer for our son. We lost a son about 10 yrs ago and I don't know if I can go through this again. My heart hurts and aches for him and it is almost unbearable. But please pray for him.

And when I can I will get back on and let you my family know how things are going

So sorry to hear this sad news Lakeowl - how absolutely awful for you and your family. And I am so sorry that you lost your other son - it must have been heartbreaking for you.

Of course my prayers are for you and your son and your family. Please let us know how he is and I really hope there is some improvement for him as soon as possible.

You and your family are in my thoughts, also. My son's friend, who lives in San Francisco, was just discharged from the hospital after recovering from cellulitis. Be well through this trying time.

Your son, you and all of your family will certainly be in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry that you all are having to go through this. Do have faith and take care of yourself so that you can be there for him.

Please keep us informed and let us know if we can do anything.

Hoping that he is better and improving soon.

What a trauma for you all to go through Lakeowl. I will pray for Davey.

A friend of mine (aged 60) was just released from hospital having recovered from cellulitis.

Lakeowl has asked me to give you an update on what has happened, however, I did leave out certain detailed information that she can pass on at a later time if she wishes to do so.

To update you on his condition.... They took him into emergency surgery yesterday..... The Dr.s said after surgery that everything went well and that there was only area left for concern but are hoping the 1st part will heal the second area.....They said that all of this was basically caused by Diabetes.....They got everything good except for his kidneys which were 25% working. But they feel this area they operated on was the culprit for his temp and his Kidneys staying in shock and not functioning correctly. That's all in big nut shell.....

Like I said he still has aways to go but we think this operation (pray to God) will take care of the rest and get his kidneys to function correctly. Worse case scenerio.....

......additional surgery may be needed....

Thank you Bonnie for the update and Cathy for passing it on. I had been wondering about you all. It sounds like there is reason for hope that things are improving. I certainly hope that is the case. You all will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Thank you Cathy for passing that info on. I thought about her son most the day yesterday and was hoping for some news. Will keep him in my prayers.
