Another bomb threat.

Post by popo » Thu Jul 21, 2005 2:43 pm

Another 4 'bombs' have gone off in London today. Only one person injured as far as I'm aware.

Apparently, the 'bombs' contained no explosives so only made a loud bang but one blew out a buses windows. They say they were the strength of a firework blast.

They were on 3 tube trains and a bus again. Looks to me like someone is playing a very stupid game of copycat. It is very worrying though that people can leave things like this on public transport so easily, and it could have been another disaster if they had had explosives in them.

I hope no-one from that area is caught up in the ensuing traffic disruption as the tube stations are evacuated. :(

Lillie and family are all fine here and I had a pm from Lizzie and she is fine too. They were only small blasts - but they were concerned for a while that they may have been contamination explosives    We'll all be running round with no skin and no hair    God forbid :(

Thanks for your concern :)

Thank God everyone is ok! I just saw it on tv. I hope it all ends soon.
That is so sad, that this kind of stuff is happening.

We are made of strong stuff, the terrorists will never bring us down.

Northern Ireland has had more than it's fair share of tragedy over the years, we have got on with our daily lives and stuck our noses in the air to the scum who try to destroy us.

I hadn't heard anything about this. I am so sorry this is happening. I certainly hope that the insanity stops soon, but I'm sure that's too much to hope for. I'm glad no one seemed to be hurt. MADWD is right, don't let them stop you living your lives. God bless you all.

That's right - Brits don't buckle. We've had many years, and many wars,
to prove that we're like the energizer bunny. We just go on, and on, and on.

The Empire may be a "bit smaller" these days, but there will always be a Britain.

This indeed is a very disturbing, but what disturbs me even more is what the alternative would be.

Glad all of you in England are ok, my thoughts are with you.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.
