Rubix - Free Rubik's Cube Solver/Maker!

Post by jdl » Sun May 23, 2010 11:41 pm

Blast!10 showed me this program (which was made by Ken Silverman) and I thought it was awesome. Basically, you can paint your own cube and solve it step by step at a time with each click. It really works too, I've tried it. You can increase the layers of the cube too! For example, have you ever wanted to try out a 10x10x10 cube? You can also change the background, colors of the stickers, the cube crack color... You can even SAVE your cube and send it to someone!

Here's the link. Just download, extract, enjoy, and send us your cube!

Here's my video demonstrating how to use it:

I have also attached a cube, which is what I had on my real cube before I used this program.

Enjoy,

With an advanced algorithm, you can do it in well less than a minute.

My record's 39 seconds. :D

   better find one!

Anyway I tried the program. It's okay. There's this other program similar to this called Ultimate Magic Cube. It has more features like build puzzles with different shapes and add your own puzzle cuts (black lines that twist puzzle). But no color-changing features from rubix.
