Summer Storm Thread

Post by Technos72 » Sun Jul 11, 2010 8:14 pm

Today a thunder storm quickly appeared. And I was like WOW and freaked out. It was raining and hailing. It wasn't much of a storm because the sky wasn't dark.

THE SKY CANNOT BE DARK IN THE DAYTIME! *shot*

Before the storm subsided we collected our first hail sample and randomly took a picture of it. Then we played with it outside :P . It was the second time it hailed at my place.

I also remember last year my friend invited me to a birthday party at Laser Quest. There was a thunder storm that day and it was raining hard. When the party was over the sky was all clear! ALL CLEAR! Did Kyogre and Groudon end their fight?

I had a huge storm where I live. I was SO glad because it made the air much cooler! Now it's not 97 degrees anymore!

All I had was dull weather. It was slightly hotter than usual though!

Here, the sky's bright or partly cloudy every day, all day long, except when there's a sandstorm in the Sahara Desert (and these are quite rare).

It's good for you that you don't get any sandstorms coming from nearby deserts, 'cause these make the sky all grey and all the buildings feel completely colourless, which makes the hour of depression stretch across the whole day. (The hour of depression, as I call it, is a period where I tend to be more depressed for no obvious reason.)

I watch The Weather Network. You may not know what it is but it's canadian. They said they're really accurate but...

FAIL

They are actually inaccurate. They keep changing forcasts because they keep making mistakes. So I was expecting a nice day until they make mistakes. That day actually has a storm. I'm getting fed up with this.

A while ago A Tornado struck where we were(was visiting Trimont at the time).
To Shorty, who was immortalized in an adventure.
To Marinus, who was my community older brother.
To Janet, who I will remember every time I wear a toque.

May these lost Wonderlanders find true adventure beyond us.

Lightning is striking every few seconds and it's raining and blowing crazily hard. I may lose power.

I forgot to mention this but 11 months ago (august 2010) on the 20th was I day I'll remember for years to come. It was sunny in the morning and afternoon. But before dinner, I looked up the sky to see a
Image
up there. If you don't know what I meant, the clouds were getting dark. The prescience of those strong winds, heavy rainfall, and rapid lightning strikes like how Kooky said made me not hungry. There was a TV notification saying there was a FUNNEL CLOUD at my city airport!! Later I was freaking out more than that time this month then prayed to jesus christ to make it stop!! After a few minutes the storm passed away FINALLY!

I don't wanna see that again

There was a giant storm a few days ago. I was swimming in the middle of a giant lake as it started.

FAIL.

There aren't any storms recently here, except the Orchard floodings. It was only a minor rain, though. It flooded because the leaves got the canal stuck.

Main reason is that those roadside sweepers keep raking leaves and litter into the drains.

I was pointing out that it was hard to understand his post until 2011.

Complaining over little mistakes like dates solves nothing. Anyone would be able to tell what he means kthxbai.

Speaking of tornadoes and such, the storm I had was actually a tornado that touched down right in Gorum.

Oh heck, I experienced that when I went to Taiwan in winter 2008. I saw it happen in my hotel. It came somewhere from Taipei.

Um. The power just went out for a second.

It's like, raining an ocean.

The weather got too weird yesterday.

There was light in certain places, dark in others.

Some spots there was some lightning, no rain.

Sometimes it gets cold, sometimes it doesn't.

I had a giant storm quite recently. Summer is over for me now. Not that there was really any summer. A few days of a little extra warmth I suppose.

If you lived somewhere near the east edge of America that storm was probably made by Hurricane Earl

3 typhoons were around the South China area, causing an effect (forgot the name) that made a typhoon go around Hong Kong, went to Fukien and DID A 180 DEGREE TURN back to Hong Kong.

Not normal, but not rare.
and the duck went moo
