If i can help i tried to make a sprite for the player.
For the player moving.
2 sprites.
For the idle.
As in moving.
Her hair moves as she goes.
1 sprite for jump.
1 sprite for mess up if that is in the game
As in falling off the board
And if you want i have a titleScreen for you...
All you need to do is make the clickable buttons.
And if you don't have gamemaker...
Go here...

heres what i have.
Tutorial!
To make it work.
Get game maker.
Path to it.
Yoyogames.com\Make\GameMaker8. (Get lite edition.)
Then click the red pacman in the maker.
Go to the place you saved the picture shown here.
Click it. (CLick remove background for transperent background)
Then click ok.
Click the blue ball next.
Where it says what sprite to show click it and choose the Picture.
Then click Add Event.
In the events choose mouse.
Then click left pressed.
In the addings on the right. (with all the icons)
Then click on Main1
Click the mini window in a blue hexagon pointing right icon.
Then click the mini window in a square pointing right icon.
When it asks you something here just leave it as is.
For a exit.
Do all this again.
But this time.
Click Right pressed in mouse.
And go to Main2
And click the text bubble icon.
Then text a goodbye message and then click and drag the Shutoff icon.
(It looks like a computer shutoff button)
NOTE you must drag all the needed icons to the actions holder!

I have trouble with that too.
You see i can't make the shark's Ready to attack work.
(I've been making a demo my self to test out my helping sprites.)
But it seems that you will have to go with the shark fin.
The shark biting attack is glitched and needs its background to be fixed. Why? Because it won't work with remove background.
But with this solution heres a way for the attack!
First get the needed sprites and get the required objects.
Give the shark a create event (The light bulb one) Then add the icon to the actions holder (Red arrows)
Click the arrows you want the shark to move in.
Check it from self to object and select shark and check relative.
Then go to the player object. Add a collision event and choose shark.
Make the sprite of the player change (Search for the red pacman icon in the right section of the object maker) then make it change to the sprite where the player falls off her board.
And for the shark.
Make its sprite change to the Attack sprite.
