St Patrick's Day

Post by Davimad »

Thought for today:- If you are thin skinned, don't marry an Irishman...

Here's why:

My husband, on our wedding day said to me "You look like a hundred dollars"

He used to tell everybody.... "I take my wife out every week (impressed?) and buy her soap powder"
"Every Christmas she gets a new ball and chain, to attach her to the cooker"

He remembers my birthday...... The Argentinians had a battleship called The 25th May!

The other day he said " I love you twice as much today as the first day we met...... There's twice as much of you"

He is very funny, years ago I was very ill after an operation. John had to do everything for me.
One day after giving me a bath, he told me to stick my tongue out.
He said.. " You look like a wee zip fastener"
To help you understand that one, I weighed 6 stone and had 46 clip stitches down my front... God! he made me laugh.

It was our wedding anniversary last week.... we got married on the very first Comic Relief Day!
Doesn't that tell you something about us?????????

I wouldn't change him for all the spuds in purdy ground. :)

Happy St Paddy's day to all of you, enjoy your soda bread, potato bread and Irish Whiskey.

HA! Oh, this made me laugh! Have no idea what 6 stone is, but I can get a general picture of the zipper effect, what a hoot. You two obviously have a great sense of humor! And that certainly does make you blessed. Thanks for passing these tidbits along, it made my day!!

[color=green][/color]HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY to all my Irish and wanna-be Irish friends everywhere, and especially to you, M.A.D!

Oh, heck, I just looked at this and I must have done something wrong -- why didn't my type come out green?

Glad it cheered you up Dianna. Told you I was M.A.D.
John say's "The day he married me he made me M.A.D. (Maureen Ann Davidson) and I've been M.A.D. ever since"

6ST is 84 LBS

Slightly heavier now.

cheers

Maureen.

I think you two should take this act on the road!! :)

What a good sense of humor you both have. I too like the visual of the zip fastener.
M.A.D. with dots, you are too funny.

The [/color] should come after your text. eg. [ color = green ] then your text, then [ /color ]

I inserted spaces to show you what I meant.

Alternatively, just highlight the text you want to change and then use the buttons to format it, it'll put everything in the right place for you.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Beannachtam na Femle Padraig ("Happy St. Patrick's Day!")

Fad saol agat. ("Long life to you.")

May the leprechauns be near you,
To spread luck along your way.
And may all the Irish angels,
Smile upon you St. Patrick's Day.

Hi Wonderlanders,

My great-great -grandad was half Irish

Well - it qualified me to play for London Irish at rugby many, many years ago.

Thanks for tip on using color, Old Bear.

Just a test!

Hey, still didn't work. WHERE'S MY COLOR?

[Site Admin Edit: You had BBCode (bulletin board code) disabled in your profile. I've turned it on for you - now all should be fine]

Dianna,

It doesn't matter about the colour, I appreciate the sentiment.

Keep working on that left hand, it's doing just fine.

Thanks for the tip on writing in color, Patrick. I was starting to think that my computer and I were both retarded -- now I know it's just me!
