as noted in the latest Midnight Post, we're hosting a Level Competition as one of the events for the 5th Anniversary of the Wonderland game series (the original Wonderland was released on October 24th, 2002).
The Objective
The theme of this competition is "Anniversary" - beyond that there are few parameters (see below). You might wish (but don't have to) only use "original" Wonderland elements from five years ago, or create a level that showcases the changes that Wonderland went through over the years, or make a big birthday bash level, etc. etc. etc.
The Parameters
1. Levels may have any elements up to and including the Platinum Edition, but should not include any custom models, textures, houses, or backgrounds. In other words, you can only submit a single LV6 file as your competition entry.
2. There are no Level size or difficulty restrictions - but remember that very large or very difficult levels can be less fun for many players.
3. Only a single entry per member is allowed. No chain or group efforts this time.
4. No indentifying information should be included in the level (so that nobody knows who made what).
5. Level competition deadline is September 15th, 2007. All entries should be mailed to us at midnight@midnightsynergy.com. Make sure to include your forum name in the e-mail so we know who you are.
Scoring:
1. Levels will be posted on the forum shortly after the due-date has passed. You will be given until October 1st to play and discuss the levels, after which you can e-mail us your scores for each level.
2. You do not have to send in a score for every level - only those that you have played enough to rate (of course, the more scores you send in, the better for the competition).
3. Any person can submit a score if they either (a) submitted a level into the competition or (b) have a user account with at least 100 posts. If you own multiple accounts you are only allowed to send in one set of scores.
4. Each level should be scored in three aspects:
a) Fun: 0-4 points, a zero score would be an unplayable level, a four-point score would be an exceptionally fun level (use your own judgement as to what you think of as "fun" - you might enjoy really tough logic puzzles, or a fun and crazy rollercoaster ride).
b) Inventiveness: 0-3 points, a zero score would be a level in which you've "seen it all before", a 3-point score would indicate a level with new ideas or very inventive uses of gameplay elements.
c) Anniversary Theme: 0-3 points, a zero score would be a level that has nothing to do with the Anniversary, a three-point score would be a level that celebrates Wonderland's fifth anniversary so well, you want to have the level creator plan your next birthday bash!

In total, then, your score will be out of a maximum possible 10 points.
5. Scores will be collected and tabulated by us, and results will be posted shortly after the due date.
The Prizes:
The top three entries in the competition will be rewarded with a free copy of the Midnight Synergy Games Collection CD, along with - of course - eternal fame and glory!

More Rules
1. Above all - this is primarily a competition for fun! No cheating, no copying, no other nastiness. Play nice!
2. You may not post the level for comments or feedback before the competition closes. After the levels have been posted, you may not indicate which one was made by you.
3. Just in case (!), we must reserve the right to disqualify level entries if we feel it necessary.
Have fun, and good luck!!!
