Sorry for going off-topic, but Marinus, do you know if we could play a chess game together at some point? What will you call yourself (your "handle," as they say)? I'm Darx. :)

Ok I registered and I'm just Marinus
I found your name but not online yet. Is it needed to finish the game while both players are still online or is it also possible that we do a few moves and tomorrow I do a move and then when you come online, you do a move?

5. Question 2 of your last post is the closest, but I don't think it will lead you to the answer that soon. Others are pretty offbase mostly.

2. Is it the IRS?

PS. Interest rates = a sum charged for borrowed money

1. No.
2. No.

And is debt the same thing as interest rates? From what I understood, it is. (It's really hard to get your head around terms in other languages.

Debt is anything you owe.

Ok questions:

1. Should I be guessing abstractly?
2. Is he, within us all?

Both questions are very, very hot! It is gambling in casino, but what sort of gambling? Why is he "a cripple"?
You are just inches away from the solution.

Ok, another question:

1. Is it a slot machine?
(it is a cripple, because it cannot do anything unless you put money in and pull the lever?)

It is a slot machine, but about the cripple part... you're so close you're practically tasting the solution, but it's not exactly that.

Hint: What kind of a slot machine can it be??

Ok, I had to have help with this slang term. I never, ever would've guessed it because I've never heard of a One-Armed Bandit.

A friend saw my frustrations and gave me the Wikipedia link. Thank Goodness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, my official guess is:

1. Is he a One-Armed Bandit?

PS. If this isn't correct, I'll eat 7 plain, straw hats (unless they're brand new, those are too tough) and 4 pairs of flip-flops (but only if they're a pastel color) :?

One-armed bandit, that's right! Sorry for delaying the answer, the dreadful cookies have glitched again, plus I've discovered a way to run at least the old version of MYST on XP.

It's admittedly more difficult in the other languages, which I'd never know if you wouldn't say it. It's just so incredibly common in russian, my native tongue, that it became a proverb. And I knew that in english that term existed also, so I thought it would be a proverb there also. How wrong I was. Sorry for that.

Well, it probably is a proverb in English, I've only gambled, or talked about gambling, once in my life so that's why I've never heard of it....until now. :D So I learned something. 8)

I'll post a Y/N riddle soon. :D

I can't think of any great riddles, but here's one anyway. :)

Ok, ask Yes or No Questions:

A man who was slightly drunk was drowned, down at the beach. He was not suicidal but he was just found lying down. Why didn't he get up and escape drowning?

If he was completely sober:

1 Should have happened the same?
2 Should that be possible?
