Have only I noticed progress in levels' scenery? Adventures made one year ago were SOOOO poorly decorated.

Keep up the good work, guys. :D

EDIT: I've got an idea. How about a scenery/eyecady tutorial? I think I'd find some time to write it. I discovered very many useful scenery tricks which I'd like to share. :stinkyhappy:

That sounds like a good idea! Meanwhile I'm going to try my best at working on Yume Nikki. To think , I had all of this time yet I'm still in Color world DX.

I think I'll start on Wednesday (yeah, history and chemistry exams are coming this week  I realised I hate high school REALLY much this weekend). Basics first, then some tricks.

I have to say that I strongly recommend everyone to use Unofficial MOFI Editor. In the tutorial I'll be using it, so no all of the tips will affect WA Editor.

WA Editor users, don't worry. Some tips on how to make MOFI-like scenery in WA will be included :D. Tons of custom textures are waiting in my Custom folder.

I desperately need that. Scenery is the most lacking aspect in my adventures.

Hmm. Well, I am pretty good with scenery most of the time, so thanks. I still will check on your guide now and then-it clearly is a smart idea you have, Pawelec.

Yume Nikki's full of mystery , so anything in this adventure wouldn't make sence  .

OK, so here is a adventure I have been working on for an hour or two.

It uses a custom texture (rock temple)
It also contains MOFI elements
enjoy

Just a warning, people almost certainly won't play your adventure if you use MoFI elements. It is far too much trouble to be worth it.

What? That's only a trouble for maker, if the adventure is packed right downloading it works the same way as it does in WA Editor. It only requires the player to use Unofficial MOFI Editor.

Instructions for the maker:
1. Make an adventure with MOFI elements.
2. Find the adventure's folder in UserData/Adventures/Editing/Current
3. Convert the adventure using Jafo's Editor Tools.
4. Save it under other name in the same folder (UserData/Adventures/Editing/Current).
4. Open the adventure in the editor and WITHOUT CLICKING ANYTHING ELSE click 'Compile and Exit'.
5. Done. You've got a converted MOFI adventure in .wa2 file ready to upload.

Playing MOFI adventures requires no more work than playing WA ones. Only uploading them takes more time. Why are you so sceptic when it comes to MOFI adventures?

I'm just saying that's what happens. MoFI adventures get 0-1 downloads.

Let's change that. I think MOFI elements are worth it. We just have to switch to Unofficial MOFI Editor.

I dont care much about downloads

I just care that it is a good adventure, in terms of looks and fun level

edit: I use the Unofficial MOFI editor, so I dont have to use jafro's tools to convert :D

Wait, every adventure with MOFI elements has to be converted.
Unofficial MOFI Editor is needed to play them, but it doesn't remove the need of level conversion. They won't work corretly without convertion.

Without Unofficial MOFI Editor you can't even run adventures with MOFI elements. Instant MAV.

With Unofficial MOFI Editor adventures with unconverted MOFI elements look oddly and may malfunction, leading to MAV.

With Unofficial MOFI Editor adventures with converted MOFI elements work perfectly.

:!: Common mistake: Adventures with MOFI elements have to be converted. Using Unofficial MOFI Editor doesn't remove the need of converting them.

?!?!

That's just plain weird

I have made 4 or 5 adventures with MOFI elements and they work perfectly without the tools

strange

This is strange, because we don't have the MOFI models enabled in the Editor, so we need to use the converters.

Adventures which use only MOFI scenery objects and magic don't require conversion.

Conversion is required by crabs, tentacles, kaboom!s, baby boomers, retro objects, flipbridges, laser gates, rainbow coins and ice trolls.

In my opinion MoFI editor and player is too complicated to bother with. I can't figure out how to convert or play something at all.
