Hey Amnon; I agree. I think the simplified level is honestly the only way to do everything you said needed to be done, though.
I should clarify that there
is a way of making the ghost section not remotely as bad as-is; if you push plasma boxes around and
lock out a ghost so it can't return to a lower area once it's gone upwards (and killed one of the ghosts at some point), then it's far and away less frustrating. The teleporters were also put in place to prevent the ghosts from having
too much free range, save one segment where it's a bit of a red herring. (And if you solved it without using them at all then uh, not the intended solution...

)
Suffice to say uh. Yeah, afraid I agree with you, and I probably should have let my perceptions of this level cook just a little longer. Or at least released just the simplified version, and saved the ghosty bits for another level. (The only difference is there are no ghosts, and a slightly different method can be used for the top island.)
I'll be honest, I'm not sure there's much I could do that'd make the "tricks" really worth the wait with this level layout. And I think I considered that but forgot at some point. (darned august allergies

) If you think it's a good idea - for future puzzlers - I'll gladly erase the original, keeping only the "Lite" version, and you can retain the wretched original as proof of what you endured...

or perhaps archiving it with a content warning.
(I may well be taking a scalpel to 086 and maybe 088 as well at some point. I do think they all could use some time back in the washing machine. Although 091 and 089 should be good to go still
