That's good news, Popo. I'm so glad you're feeling better.

You're right, they'll probably call just as you're leaving. Over here we call it "Murphy's Law" (anything that can go wrong, will go wrong is one version of it). They even taught that at my engineering school as a principal of design.

Hi all,

Got the call this afternoon to say they want me in hospital tomorrow morning, so don't do anything exciting while I'm gone will you?

Hope I'm not there for very long, I'd much sooner be at home where I can do what I want, when I want but I can't afford a private nurse. Maybe Mo can come over and look after me.

I'll let you know what gruesome things they did to me when I get home again. Tata for now.

Well Poops, it's time to get you sorted out. Hope all goes well and you don't give the medical staff too much trouble, I would travel to Sheffield and be your private nurse.....

Only thing is, I'd have to be very strict with you and not put up with any old nonsense.

Hi Granny Poopsie - never nice news, going into the hopsital (correct spelling in my book)
but you didn't have to wait too long, and hopefully you'll be back out and in good working order
before you can say "Jack Robinson" - who ever he was.

Don't know about Nurse MadMo. Admittedly, I've never met her, but her reputation has spread a long way,
and you want to have some fun while you're there.
Most hospitals have some quite good looking young Drs these days
she might cramp your style quite a bit

Will be thinking of you. Take care, behave yourself, and let us know how you are.

so I'll just say a special prayer that God gives the Dr.'s the wisdom to have you feeling better quickly. Oh, I'll also ask god to give you patience with the Dr.'s

Nurse MadMo would have me out again in no time. She'd have me scrubbing the hospital floors too if she could. I found this pic of her while I was rummaging through her drawers last month.

Laurie Lou, I'm not so bad really. 'Strict but fair', 'so clean so nice' and 'lift up thy bed and walk' just a few things I keep in my head.

Guess what everybody.....I'm back home!!!

Turns out that in the time I spent waiting to go in the hospital I have got better on my own and they didn't need to do anything to me. I had some blood tests and a chest x-ray, and everything is ok. It seems it wasn't the meds that were disagreeing with me after all, and just an infection, which has more or less cleared up.

So now I just have to keep myself out of trouble until the convention, not easy for me to do.

Oh, I nearly forgot, the doctor told me I MUST NOT scrub floors or I could come out in great big red spots.

Now rest up and don't do too much - especially scrubbing floors! Seems poor John is doing all the scrubbing for Mo at the mo

I bet you're really glad to be home again.

Follow Mo's example - feet up, paint those toe nails (if you can reach them)
and load up on the chocs.

Why bother with the floors? You think anyone 's going to have the time
(or even be interested) to check and see if they're clean.

John can do them after every one's gone home

She's a secret choccie eater that one. When she gets up in the middle of the night to talk to you, she's really stuffing her face with chocolate. I know, I've seen her. Mars bar in one hand, bottle of Vodka in the other.
