Thank you all so much - honestly, I hadn't noticed. I knew the number was increasing but hadn't been paying attention.

Far too busy trying to play the competition levels, and a few others as well.

I had a thought while I was writing the above. There's always been this evil voice, lurking out there somewhere in the background, accusing women of spending too much time on the telephone - remember those days

Now - fellow members of The Lady's Club (shouldn't that be Chatty Nutter's Club - men write too): do you talk a lot on the phone ? ? ? ?

I know I don't - did too much of that when I was working - now I'm much too busy writing. But I was never much of a phone talker. I'm not good at making conversation - and on the whole, I'm not responsible for what I write either. My fingers do most of it, and I don't seem to have much control over them (she was heard to mutter).

So, are you all the silent type, or are you multi-tasking, talking and writing at the same time ? ? ? ? ?

I have to admit to being a chatterbox, it doesn't matter if I'm on the phone or in a shop. Gabble, gabble, that's me.

John has been known to ask if I'm alright when my tongue isn't moving for more than five minutes.

Yes Annie, I do talk and type at the same time.
