I want to find a stronghold. So that's why I'm going out to make eyes of ender. The thing though is that ender pearls will be hard to find. I'll try making a mob factory for a chance of getting an ender pearl from an enderman. The blueprint of one section looks something like this:

D - mob spawn/dark spot
V - water flow down
> - water flow right
C - crawlspace
X - cactus
O - item pickup

If you know you have lit up all the nearby caves, you can make a fall grinder. Or do something like what Ethoslab did with his blaze grinder.

It doesn't have to be one, saying that 1.3.1 merges SMP and SSP. You can play single player and still run commands of a SMP thing, as well as chatting.

Cheats do need to be on, but I think it's easier to have them on for creative mode.
