Glitch fixed! One more page until 60! :3

Sammy: About that tree, that's another glitch with the editor. You can get rid of it by closing the editor and re-opening it. And again, please don't show us your WACC work. It's supposed to be private until after the contest is over...

flameterror: AHH! CHOMPERS! *shot* Great pics.

Here's another clip from my restart of The Time Traveller's Daughter...

Woke up and started working on this. I made this. This is one of the puzzles you see that you saw in my last picture. This one is the easy levels. The rest are going to be hard. More pictures later today :) And I probably won't be able to finish this level today because I have a busy day today.

So this is all I worked on for the next level. It's not finished yet so it may look like something is wrong with this level. Now this is all I can work on for now. It's getting late.

Emerald141 wrote:I've finally gotten to work on my next adventure, which is a Checkers mega-mechanism (yes, I'm insane). Basically, the player plays a game against The Blue One, who just makes random moves. It'll have to take place on a 6x6 checkerboard, though; an actual 8x8 board would probably flow over the level size limit in addition to causing immense lag, since I have to program every possible move/jump individually.
:|

My next adventure involves sneaking around Yanzeex's base. You enter through the sewage pipe (YUCK), then the dungeons, then the factory, and finally the Super-Secret-Self-Destruct-Button-Vault.

It's not going to be a trilogy with checkers games against increasingly smart WLS members, is it?

Emerald141 wrote:Blargh, I'm just going to have to give up on the whole checkers thing. I've done the math and the level would have to be at or near max size to fit everything in, and considering that there would be a lot of spikeyballs, GCs, and gates in it, the amount of lag involved would make it pretty much unplayable.
Maybe you could play it on a 4X4 board?

I've made two more areas :). One of them is not shown because it'll be a way to cheat if I show it because it's a maze in the dark. Also the adventure will come out tomorrow :D. NOPE! I've decided since I've got more ideas that I won't have enough time to do them all by tomorrow. So give me about one more week (or less) and I promise that I'll finish this....

Also I've been thinking. Should I add some sort of secret to my level? I want it to be the early version of Mysterious Cave, but though I just don't know if I should make it

I recommend yes.

Tip: Secret areas should have tough but fun challenges and should be well but not very well hidden. They must contain an important or rare object but that doesn't have to be vital to winning the level. Or they can just have lots of gems.

Just so long as you don't use fake walls.

Okay. I don't know how to make different objects except the Lamp, Spy Eye, etc. So I'll make it have lots of gems. And It might be the early version of Mysterious Cave when I had no clue how to use the Editor.

Okay I spent about an hour and finished the Secret thing. Though it's not challenging. I plan to change it to a WHOLE different secret.

My 8th adventure might help you with understanding item functions. That's why I made it.

You could also put a rainbow key in the secret area and have it open a clearly visible but otherwise inaccessible rainbow gate, which could lead to Secret Area 2, which can be full of gems.

YY5: I recommend you take a page out of The Copycat Locks for your 19th adventure's sewer area and make a Copycat puzzle of your own variation.

COPYCAT PUZZLE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

-Two identical chambers with entrances and exits.
-A character with ID 1.
-Identical puzzles or mazes for both chambers.
-NPC Moves for character ID 1, one on each square in maze on player's side.
-Bogus walls for one side.

Almost done :D I've tested it out but not everything yet and so far it's going good. I thought these puzzles were too easy but after not looking at the puzzles for a few weeks, I almost forgot how to do them :)

YOU HAD BETTER

This is from my WACC4. I know, after scorning Sammy_P for showing pics, this makes me look like a hypocrite. But I showed it because this entry is also the first in a trilogy. My original entry, which I gave up on, will be Part 2 of the trilogy.
