The levels etc. are now ready to play

. We have
19 entries

The total file size of the entire contributions is waaaaay to big to upload to the forum, so I put it up on a web site. The address is at the attached .jpg below.
Remember to send your scores to Loirae (NOT to Mette) by November 1st at 3.00 AM GMT. Read more in the first post in this topic, please.

I'm excited too, but I have to work now.

(And no, it's not a housecleaning issue, because I forgot about housecleaning quite a while ago.)

Excellent competition. You all did a great job creating such fun and halloweenish levels. Played them all and finished 18 so far. Lots of fun

Thanks Mette and Loirae for making this possible

Can I score them with half points as well? For instance 6.5 as opposed to just 6 or 7, so far I've played four and I really liked them, I need more leeway in my scoring or everyone's going to do real well!!
What about it ladies?

Yes, scoring with half points is a need!!!

As far as I'm concerned you can score them with as many decimal points you want. As long it's a number between 1 and 10

. But maybe we should wait to hear from Loirae on this since she's the one keeping the scores

Ditto. As long as it's between 1 and 10. No scores like "0.5" or "10.5" please.
Reminder on scroing:
Judge on
inventiveness, fun and Halloweenishness.
Anyone (even non participants) can score the levels, but if you score one, you have to score them all (including your own).
Glad to see so much excitement for the contest. Wahoooooo!!!!!!

SIDE CONTEST - Who Made What
Many people have asked about a side contest. We'll go ahead and have one. No offical Prizes from Midnight Synergy, sorry. Just the knowledge that you know us all so well.
If you want to join in the side contest, also sned me who you think made each level. You will get one point for each level you get correct. If you submitted a level, you should recognize your own and will get a point for that.
NOTE: Some people posted that they would join the contest and were unable to. Some people never said so and joined up. So, don't make your guesses based on the posts here until either Mette or I post an official list of names.
Good luck.

To help out with bandwidth I've also hosted the file on our site:
This will also be featured in the upcoming Midnight Post. (I didn't hide the link in an image, I don't think it's necessary - unless someone else tells me otherwise?)

Wow! I can't believe how hard some of these levels are! They look fantastic! Great job everyone.
I have worked through 15, and finished 12. I am just too tired to do anymore tonight. I'll work on it tomorrow!
Thanks!

I tried them out and they are hard. At a quick trial I managed four of them.

I've only finished 5 so far but took a peek at all of them. I was thinking to myself as I was playing one of them " I know who made this one, but I'm glad I don't have guess who made it just rate it."So I think I might keep my guess's to myself even though I am curious as to who did what, I'm terrible at guessing. Great job Mette and Loirae.

I've sent four guesses of who made what to Loirae and I've completed 6 levels.
What about opening separate thread for "Halloween levels discussion" like it was done for Small World?

Great idea

How about using the topic already in puzzle/action levels? If anyone have probelems with the levels they can ask there. And if creators have a spoiler: Send it to Loirae and she'll post it for you (to keep the annonimity).

If anyone have probelems with the levels
That is a good idea, because I'm having problems right now with 2 of them, to me they don't seem playable or finishable and I sure would like to find out the secret.

Regarding the official list of names:
The rules allowed for people to collaborate on a level, but no one did. Some people did use some of the new houses and texture, but since those were posted publicly for everyone to use, they aren't considered a collaboration.
If you want to guess names, you don't have to worry about if more than one person worked on a level.
Also, send your list of names to me, but if you want to change them around or add more guesses, you have until the same time that scoring ends. so if you've sent me guesses and then have a

moment, you can resend them up until the end of the contest.
Good luck.
