Stop it. This is not the time to make fun of others or to make a fuss about it. :x

WA Editor Test Level

Dear friends,
I am falling asleep as I write this...
I cannot do anything with my brand new wa editor v. 096. I do not see the test level(s) available for download anywhere. So I just downloaded all the levels from nutters; put them into "download inbox" folder, and opened wa player. In the beginning it looked like it was placing the levels into the directories; but then it would not open the player. I had to force-quit. Subsequent attempts to open the player failed, until I removed all the levels from download inbox; but now I do not have any to play. Help!

Thanks,
Janelle

I think this is due to the "special" levels in the zipped file that requires some custom models (!) and custom textures. Why don't you try creating a folder under the name "Custom" in the main directory, put the necessary models in and try again?

(P. S. please forgive me if I missed out anything, it's a long time since I meddled with these things)

OK, but where do I get the test levels? I think I can try to use the editor again by learning from the test levels.

I've got a question about the editor. :P

What command do I need to use to open a dialog structure without talking to a stinker?

Please say *bump* if you plan to post in topics more than a 2 days I suppose, and there are secret CMDs.

*bump out* You only say bump for a topic you CAN bump. :? :| :!:

Secret commands? Maybe. Patrick must have lots of commands to make his games work, but I don't know if there are any secret ones left...

...we already have CMD 51-52, the AskAbout commands, the hub commands, CMD 7 for teleporting, and CMD 61-64 for NPC movements in dialogs.

I mean, face it, MS would not put a lot of things he didn't use in his game available in the editor.

I meant the commands he didn't list in his tutorial. Of course we know them now.

About the bump: I said that a year ago. :?

Sorry if that looks a bit off topic but As you metioned commands:

CMD1 Activates Objects
CMD2 Deactivates Objects
CMD3 Toggles Objects

Buttons use these commands (except for round and star)

So why don't we have switching color command.. Maybe it is hidden!!

And the editor is what Patrick uses to make his games.

I wonder as well, (and I hope there are,)...and BTW square, timer, and round buttons are just edited versions of CMD 1,2, and 3. Square buttons are CMD 1 for everything except gates and transporters and circular and timer buttons are based off of that using different subtypes for each button type.

I guess I have to admit there could still be some...

The definition of a bump is not just when you post in a topic that's been ignored for over 2 or 3 days. It means that you move a topic pages behind up to the front page's top by posting in it. All the big bumps I made are in stickies or topics near the top, so I don't see how it makes a big difference. Besides, stickyed topics should keep on being posted in. They were made for users to help each other, and that's what we're doing, right?

There's no need to answer a question asked a year ago. Chances are, if the user didn't press it, he's figured it out, in which case you just look annoying.
