DP. Here's the adventure.
This is limited time only, because this is meant to be in the project that I thought was 30 GB.
this is zipped because you need to place it in MOFI's GameData folder anyway.
NOTE: YOU NEED LOCALSAVEON AND THE HACK TO RUN THIS.

I guess the real challenge is to do it the intended way.

I hadn't even played the level before, because at a certain moment I liked more to play Muzo's, Kiki's, and Mark's customlevels, so there are several levels I never have played.

Depends on what's more or less challenging for people. This might as well be near-impossible for others, because you have to figure out a few key tricks to get this transporter solution, and none of them are all that obvious.

A similar thing can be done in Platinum 12 "The Fire World" but the only transporters you can get are at the very END so it's nigh useless in terms of actually skipping anything.

Wow. I really should start slowly doing the whole game, level-by-level because wow, do I find some awesome stuff...

Anyways, I believe I am currently the only Wonderlander who has this score. 2870 on "Out Of Time", W9L5 in RTW. (Classic set)

And before you ask... yes, it's real. And yes, I did collect all the bonus coins.

I never really write down my time remaining... score contains "slow down to kill more enemies" so it's more interesting.

My scores (with some comments) for the tutorial set:

Tutorial Set
Total: 78340

World 1:
Level 1: 4600
Level 2: 3210
Level 3: 3560
Level 4: 3350 (debatable, might be a glitch of the timer a-la "2990 on gridlock" but 3340 is definitely real)
Level 5: 3150
Level 6: 3750 (one of the two most difficult scores I have achieved in this game so far)
Level 7: 3290 (a 1-second improvement makes this score the other most difficult one)
Level 8: 3630 (thinking involved in this one!)
Level 9: 4490
Level 10: 4740 (planning)

World 2:
Level 1: 5090
Level 2: 4780 (a luck-based nightmare)
Level 3: 4770 (thanks for telling me this was possible -- my 4750 was there for ages)
Level 4: 6950
Level 5: 3410 (barely remembered the route to get that...)
Level 6: 3460 (Box-pushing puzzles on a timer are awesome.)
Level 7: 2940
Level 8: 3580 (tried to remember my old route, improved it instead)
Level 9: 2630 (third hardest score there is in the tutorial set)
Level 10: 2960

Some of those are scores from long ago, some are new. I did not record the times, however.

You're misremembering something -- my time of 4:31 gets me 3710. Either your score is 3690 or your time is 4:27 remaining.

Even better on "Catch Me If You Can":

Catch Me If You Can - 3950 - 4:05 remaining.

Oh - it is possible:

Slipping and Sliding - 3350 - 4:20 remaining.

OK, thanks for confirming the 3350 on "Slipping and Sliding". Now I can try to get it again.

2630 on "Obstacle Course" is quite difficult, you have to get the box to the water as fast as possible, and then take the fastest (and riskiest) path through the cannons. At first I had 2620 but by taking a bigger risk I was able to shorten the path and got the 2630.

As for your 3690 on "Linked", well... keep trying. 3710 is my current score.

I wasn't being slow on Linked, I was just taking the wrong route. Now not only have I done it, I'm even beating you (not due to being faster, but due to an extra secret):

Linked - 3720 - 4:32 remaining.

You have managed to work in some Stinky/Loof quick switches to knock a second off? That's impressive. I tried that some time ago, but didn't get it right.

EDIT: Done, 3720 by combining the basic faster route (blue spheres) with a few quick switches. Reminds me of the hell I had to go through to get 3750 on "Introducing Loof".

I didn't actually use switches. Not without the transporter involved anyway.

I've got:

Obstacle Course - 2620 - 4:22 remaining.

:?

Wow I am stupid. Thanks for telling me about that trick with the transporter. It's 3730 now. Switching FTW.

As for Obstacle Course, 2620 is a respectable score indeed, I had it for quite some time before getting 2630. Look for a better cannon route.

EDIT: 3970 on Catch Me If You Can. Better is still possible, though.
EDIT 2: 2670 and 4:27 remaining on "No Need to Be Greedy". Your score of 10 looks really weird there, I think you meant 2650, which is the score you actually get with your 4:25 time.

I knew those two could be (easily) beaten.

I bet you can't do Teleportation or New Shores.

by Muzozavr
Teleportation was easy once I figured out what not to do. New Shores is planning-only, no difficult tricks there. Got those two done.

I don't think they're possible to beat, though... I think those two are perfect scores.

The most annoying one is "Coily, Coily, Coily" at 4780. It's not even hard skill-wise, it's just that the best route takes so much LUCK to be usable, I've only got this twice!! With still more luck you could probably do 4790, but anything beyond needs so much luck it's going to take ungodly amounts of time to get it.

Skill-wise the hardest score in the tutorial set is "Introducing Loof" at 3750. Extremely difficult, but not luck-based.

I did it!

Obstacle Course - 2630 - 4:23 remaining.

I believe I did it a different way though. It may even be possible to beat it using my technique!

If you mean a timesaver with the box by taking a slightly longer path but NOT waiting for spikes near the bottom, you have to do that to get 2630 at all. I just tried your older way and couldn't get 2630 at all. So I doubt beating 2630.

No. Here's how I did it:

WHOA! That timing right there is delicious!
Still can't get 2640 though, even tying that in with the fastest cannon route available... and I don't think your technique is actually faster than my "walkaround" route for that portion. (That, and my route also does not require such tricky timing)

I still can't see your method after another hour.

Serpentine - 3700 - 4:30 remaining.

Posted: Fri Jan 07, 2011 11:04 pm
by Muzozavr
It's actually really simple. You see, before that spike you have to push that box two steps down and two steps to the right. Then it's on the spike and you rush to push it down once.

When you push it two steps down... don't do that. Push the box ONE step down and then immediately walk around the water on the right side to get to the box by using the "long" way around. The "short" way requires you to do a few extra steps to get the box off the spike, so it's not actually shorter... maybe one tile, but it doesn't even matter now.

3290 on "Collaboration". Torture on the fingers, even worse than "Introducing Loof". I'm not touching this level again. This one extra second made it into pure pain... but I got it in the end.

Tried for a little while but can't get more than 3690 so far. I'll probably figure out the proper route, but right now I'm too tired after the 3290 of "Collaboration".

Serpentine - 3710 - 4:31 remaining.

Linked - 3730 - 4:33 remaining.

Sticky Cubes - 4250 - 4:35 remaining.

More Trouble with Kaboom!s - 4490 - 4:09 remaining.

(I know you have done all of them except Serpentine.)

Got 3700 on Serpentine, but 3710 is just out of my reach so far... I'll keep trying.

So... question -- what was the mysterious timesaver to get 3350 on "Slipping and Sliding"? Can you remind me? I'm going as fast as I can but I can only get 3340...

Posted: Tue Jan 11, 2011 12:43 am

You just have to get the exact right timing between the time you push the lowest box onto the ice and the time you move Stinky onto the ice. You have to get it so Stinky doesn't bounce back. You have to wait the exact right amount of time.

I know that, but it does seem to be extremely exact. If you're only a tiny bit late you won't get 3350.

I'll keep trying, or I just might lose belief in my own score.

Collaboration - 3290 - 4:39 remaining.

You can do those quick switches easily in such incredible amount? Probably you have just discovered some sort of a better route, but still, impressive.

Or maybe I just suck.
Steel and Fire - 3330 - 4:18 remaining.
Figure out the proper route and you will do much better. It's a very easy level technically, you just have to think a lot. I spent some time working it out.

EDIT: I just tried out a slower route and got 3320 and 4:17 remaining, so I think I know your biggest mistake on Steel and Fire:
Forget the wooden box entirely -- it's a red herring to slow you down. You can do everything with just the steel boxes.
