It's not that STINKY is visually pulled up, it's that the rest of the LEVEL is visually pulled down.

By LeMarquis' request, here's the "WALL" file.

To achieve the effect, play a different level before, then try this one. When it loads, not immediately at start, but before the level fully "loads" and the lights come on... hold right.

If you're lucky (and you have to be lucky) you'll see Stinky popping up on the wall. You can then walk around.

It's only a visual effect and it requires some luck to achieve, but it IS possible. If it doesn't happen, keep trying. Which is more annoying than you'd think, because every attempt to exit the level so far led me to a MAV.

When Stinky and the gang find out what 38 08 really is, they use it as a form of LSD.

Four years ago VirtLands discovered the 38:08 hex, an amazing but very unstable code.
Under the right circumstances, I was able to create the illusion of Stinky walking on walls.

I just tried it and got it the first time! Very kool! too bad it's unstable but I think I could reproduce the effect or maybe even enhance it... with models.

I don't quite understand how it works... only 2 metatiles next to each other: 35 01 (invisible water) and of course 38 08.

Why does it take the level down 2 tiles? anyone?

Here's a complete walkthrough of this level:

-push wooden box R and follow through
-push wooden box L
-push wooden box R on transporter to kill flame
-step R on invisible tramp, hold RDLRLUR to collect coin right of wooden box (all invisible tramps)
-push wooden box left and follow (box fills an invisible water tile, loof tramps an invisible tramp, reveals an invisible 2 way conveyor and lands on fake turning white button)
-step U on conveyor then RRD on invisible tramp
-collect coin and push boulder down (loof is inside boulder as blue sphere travels down on transporter adding more invisible tramps)
-step D on invisible tramp, hold U to push boulder U
-step D on invisible tramp, hold DUL (loof lands on break tile)
-push boulder R, dodge D and quickly follow the boulder to stop right of the sunken wooden box
-step DDDDUUUDDD to create a line of 3 shadows (lined up with shadow warp gate)
-step R on invisible tramp, hold RDLRLUD to land in invisible TP (you land through a fake white gate)
-collect coin and exit
