Game development at Midnight Synergy is done with one purpose in mind: we want to make games that are great fun. Nothing else. We do not put our resources towards creating extensive cutscenes or other window dressing, nor do we pump millions of dollars into advertising campaigns. Rather, we focus our efforts on making our games as fun to play as possible.

We also strive to bring you our games at low prices, let you try out free demos first and provide you with excellent support. From free updates with new gameplay features to personal e-mail support, we want to make sure you enjoy our games as much as we do.

While the Midnight Synergy development label was formed in 1995, our members have been active in the game industry for almost twenty years, and have been avid gamers for even longer. We hope to continue bringing you games that are simple to learn and fun to play for many years to come.
Just a reminder.
Yeah, I'm aware of this - What I mean is that the WA Editor isn't a commercial game, but a free program, whereas RTW is.

Yeah, but the game maker games are F-R-E-E.
And their only one program.
Trailer, intro, and purchase isn't needed to every game.

But they're not commercial games.

Doesn't make any sense to me.

Hmm... Alright, let me put it this way then:

RTW is:

> A full game - it's commercial and costs money.
> A level editor - as an added feature to those who own it.

Freeware games are:

> A full game - non-commercial, doesn't cost money.
> Other features (might include editor)

The WA Editor is:

> A level editor - non-commercial
> A program to play the levels in - non-commercial

Can you see the difference now? The reason people aren't counting the WA Editor is because it's not a full game in its own right.

It works same as RTW, but with WA.
Games do not MUST to cost anything, do you heard about a game like Super Mario Bros. Online? It has a trailer. Or about SPMW? Has a level editor, is avaible for
-Wii
-Ds
-Pc
-More
has a trailer, but it got deleted.

Yes, I have, and note that I never said games have to cost money. Stop making up things I haven't said.

I did not state that just because it's non-profit doesn't mean it's not a full game. GM or other games don't have to cost money to be full.

The thing is that the WA Editor isn't a full game.

Because it isn't in its final version?
Just because of that?
That doesn't really matter witch version.

That's not what I'm talking about at all. I'll put this here again:

RTW has a level editor as an extra program along with the game itself. The editor is not all there is to it.

WA doesn't have a level editor that comes with it. The game is all there is to it as the Editor doesn't run with WA itself.

The WA Editor is only a level editor and a program to play levels. There's no actual "game" that can be finished, as the only thing there is stand-alone levels.

Can you see the difference now?

No, it isn't.

The RTW Editor IS NOT the main product or the only one. It's a SIDE PRODUCT, thrown in for longevity's sake. It is NOT ALL THERE IS TO RTW.

The WA Editor IS the ONLY product. There are NO SIDE PRODUCTS with it. It's ALL THERE IS TO IT.

There, I emphasized it too. Does that help?

Wa editor has two programs.
Only its name says about the editor.
Editor is only to MAKE and EDIT levels.
You can also make other games using it - HUBS, and making them is kinda fun, so, THAT'S A GAME.

Okay. One last time.

RTW is a full game. There is a large amount of levels and a story to them, plus that's the entire point to them. There's gameplay to the main purpose of it. The Editor is a side-program. There's no gameplay to it, and it's not the main purpose of the game.

The WA Editor is not a full game. There are only 3 included levels to demonstrate the editor's capability. The entire point is that you can make adventures to share with others. There is no gameplay to the main purpose of it. The Player is meant so you can test and play others adventures. It's a secondary function.

If you still don't get it, then I honestly suggest we drop this discussion, because I don't think you see the point I'm getting at.

CONGRATULATIONS! Your ^_^ has evolved into BILLY BOB!
or something like that.
I'm kidding, but ^_^ is acting like Billy Bob did with the correction argument.

TOW. Then I bought WSW, and RTW. Downloaded the demo of WA, and bought MOFI. Also I downloaded the WA editor, but I'm not quite sure if that's supposed to be a game. It seems there are different opinions about it.
