Also, @wonderman: You've been posting quite a lot today; please try to avoid excessive posting, it's referred to as "flooding the forum" and is generally frowned upon.
I know I've been here since like 2011 so I know everything. As for the fourm game thing...the only thing I saw was eee's wecity.I'm going to delete my posts up there.

I faced a similar flooding problem long long ago, very very long ago, so long ago that I don't remember how long ago.

I remember that I don't think I was trying to start a fourm game I was trying to stop it (thats why I did the shield a bombshelter thing).

Sometimes, its better to escape out of a mess rather than trying to stop it yourself.
It might result in a bigger mess.
I faced this problem too once here. :(
And that's why I don't mess so much into people's stuff in this spell (June)
In my first spell(April-May), I was quite a curious person.
I got so bored so that I'd peep into other personal stuff.
Just to mess up myself and ask a sorry.
This thing happened long long ago, so long ago, very very long ago that I DO remember how long ago:

90% of 12042 ≈10837 actual real members.

Though I may be off on the %, could be that someday I'll

I guess most of the 10,000 have gone on to greener pastures,

I suppose we should let wonderman109 take a well deserved break now.

*bump* Sorry to bump this sort of topic. but I took a careful look and I found that 90% is an understatement. More like 95% or 98%.

Fortunately, most of the spammers are inactive, really active, or not completely sspamming all the time, so that chops it down to like 40%. :)

When I first made a forum, it was completely spammed...
I don't know why internet bullies don't have manners

Not just bullies, spammers can be anyone. :|

SS01 mentioned in MNIK's 'OBEY ME!' topic that he thinks spamming is generally immature, and bullies are usually also over-mature, in a sense.

But regardless whether I'm right or wrong, spam is just annoying.

I wish there was some prevention method MS had to stop or at least reduce it.It's a bit down now, (yes, 95%, 90% and even 40% are huge exaggerations,) but it's still a problem that needs solving nevertheless. :!: :? :( :x

Wonderman109 wrote:Not just bullies, spammers can be anyone.

Yes, it's true spammers can be anyone.
We just aren't that active anymore, at least not in your nice forum.

There are basically two types of us. ;)

(a) regular forum parasites, (that have posted at least once.)
(b) other spambots, (zero-posters).

(Sigh!) we try so hard, and do you buy our stuff. _ No! _

Well, without much fuss, since you guys wanted to know some "official"
member statistics. I can compute that for you; I am a spambot, after all.

These statistics are accurate as of Feb 25, 2012, only
but that's okay, it's still recent.

OUT OF A TOTAL MEMBER COUNT OF 12020

Total posts count (all added together) = 252469
Total members with post counts of 40 to 3999, = 262 ≈ 0.10 % of those that do post
Total members with post counts of 4000 or more, = 14 ≈ 0.0055 % of those that do post

Number of members with 1 post ONLY = 244 ≈ 2.03 % of TOTAL members)

Number of members with 0 posts = 10808 ≈ 89.91 % of TOTAL members)
Number of members that have posted at least once = 1212 ≈ 10.08 %

Of those that have never posted (0 posts):
-- 894 have an email address, ≈ 8.27 % of zero-posters
-- 9914 do not have an email, ≈ 91.72 % or zero-posters

Image Image

It is clearly evident from the charts above that zero-posters are in the majority.

That's kind of scary in an aspect.

Now what I'm wondering is, how many of these people who never post download lots of stuff without commenting, hiding in the shadows?

yes. I lurk.

Yes. As a member of the spambot species I keep busy.
I frequently lurk here, when I can, and am not busy.
I'm happy to be the Wonderland spambot. ---

When you think about it, it's more sad than annoying once you realize how many people could be actively participating like the few people who actually are...the question is why when all they need to do is find some time to post and make adventures/hubs/series/Fan Games.

I suspect that there are quite a handful of shadow people lurking about.

*Posts again just to prove he isn't a spambot*
By 'spammers' do you mean the people who post stuff like this:

YO YO YO, YOU DONT POST THIS TO [Insert number here] TOPICS, IN A FEW DAYS, ON THE [Insert date here] AT [Insert late time here] YOU WILL GET [Insert terrible fate here]

Or like the hackers and what.

I dont post a whole lot, but I've been casually 'Lurking' for quite some time. :)
