I think a pull is dancing. Pauline And Mo your storys are so wonderful.

The 'pull' isn't a dance Cathy, it what you call it when you're out looking for someone to chat up, hence the chat up line 'Get your coat, you've pulled'.

Had a similar experience the day i met Rich. Some people called him Rich, some Richard. I asked what he preferred and he said it didn't matter at all. i argued that people always have a preference, and he insisted that it didn't matter if I called him Richard, Rich, Rick, Ricky...

So I said, "Fine, I'll call you "Honey"! At which point he walked away in disgust. 11 years and two kids later, I still call him Honey.

Ladies....this is a really nice thread. It is a better read than any Mills & Boon novel, (not that I read them.. ) because these stories are all real.
Pauline, I loved your comment about "on the pull" and "get ye' coat, you've pulled". I think this may only be Brit humour. Other places must have similar sayings. It would be interesting to know what they were.
BTW...are any of the guys ready to share their moment with us...???
