Good luck with that...
Every frame must look close enough in order for them to look like a film...
Even for computer-generated 3D animation, that is still difficult, since you still need to adjust all joints manually, frame-by-frame.
So yeah, good luck with that, not to mention the scanning,
colouring and audio-syncing...

If you use the pivot frame rate, it's about 1000 frames/minute. If you use that rate you will need to draw 60,000 pictures just for one hour. You're probaly better off with a animating program.

That eee only mentioned the scaning part. He forgot to mention how he's gonna do the other 2.

1 FRAME DONE??? EPIC!!!
35999 to go (if you have ten frames a second and one hour of footage)...

I think you'd be better off making a picture book.

Normal animations have 25 to 30 frames per second to ensure the pictures are "moving".
I think he should consider using softwares to help him. There is no way for him to hand-draw everything and get it done before his 80th birthday.

Plus, wouldn't he need the voices first so he knows how long to make each talking animation?

No. A few old cartoons could've used less than 10 frames for a minute's worth of talking by reusing the frames.
But eee won't reach the editing stage in 9001 years, so we don't have to think about that yet.

-Insert ITS OVER 9000 Joke here-
You guys shouldn't add Hyperboles to everything, although it could take 2-4 months at the rate Eees going in real time.

First announced that the pen-paper animating style will be used:
Nov. 8
Announced that 1 frame is done:
Nov. 11
Rate:
1 frame/3 days
I month:
About 30 days
(About)Rate:
10 frames/month
Using the frame rate Tyteen mentioned(at max because it's eazier to calculate):
30 frames/second
So:
1 second/month
At this rate, in 4 months he will only be 4 seconds in, not the 80 minutes planned.
Edit:
Adding on to that:
minute=60 seconds=60 months of develoment=5 years
Now, that 80 minutes are planned:
80 minutesx5 years=400 years=4 centuries to finish at this rate.
As App once said:
...
Wow.
Edit 2:I'm sorry, this is just halarious. 400 years to finish at this rate...somebody hurry up and get this dude imortal.

2 frames done unknown more to go

Now the avrage rate is 1 frame/2 days.
Um...
30 frames/second
1800 frames/minute
108000 frames/hour
144000 frames/whole movie
288000 days/whole movie
Using the 30 days/month thing again:
9600 months/whole movie
800 years/whole movie
I must've screwed up somewhere, because that should be less. Due to laziness I'm not trying again.

Just keep going, if you work at it your whole life you might release it as a dying gift...

...Or maybe your grandchildren will finish it.

Well I will work on each frame each day
Posted: Sat Nov 12, 2011 5:43 pm
by boywhoflies
So you will be done in 143998 days. I think.
Posted: Sat Nov 12, 2011 6:54 pm
by yot yot5
143998/365=394 and a little bit.
So if all your family live for 100 years your great-grandchildren should finish it at the age of 94.
OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT!!!

Are you making the frames the right way, or are you just individually draw each one?

He's doing each one seprately.

You'll need about 144000 peices of paper to make a 80 minute long animation...

Nobody wrote:Since LittleZbot is kinda gone, I might make the script for his subplots. I still think that they overcomplicate the movie, but whatever.
Well, guess what? I'M BACK.
