I'm stuck after the blocks with reduced gravity, there seems to be some sort of invisible wall there, but I'm not quite at the end text yet.

It's the end of the demo – you don't have anything to do from there. For now, at least.
However, I will give another picture that will raise some questions:
We have seen a blank black block that kills. Why is there a black block with the word "kill" on it? Does that one act differently?
Pay attention to the Gyalogos in the picture.

You used a special sharpen on it! I think. That's all I know. :3

I'm stuck at the part with the 'You stink' message.
Does anyone know how to cross that gap?
BTW Blast!10, could you please add Y as an alternative key for jumping?
I'm using the German keyboard layout where Y and Z are swapped.
That makes it very hard for me to press Y and X at the same time.

Can't you use up to jump as well?
When touching the message you can jump again.

Try changing colors to red while on the blue platform below it. For some reason that worked for me.

Hint: RBG are basic colours.

@boywhoflies: Yes, you can. Z or Up = jump, X or Down = change color.
@Kilicool64: I'll add Y as a jump key now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
@Master Wonder Mage, Emerald141: Now that I think about it again, I guess this was too evil for the start of the game. I'll change it now to a normal red Jimper.

Thank you so much!
Now I finally managed to beat the demo without breaking my fingers.
Blast!10, this game has a lot of potential, but there are two things that kinda annoyed me.
First, I would like a button that lets you switch colors in the opposite order, e.g. from blue to green, instead of having to switch colors twice.
Second, the part where you had to change colors constantly is very frustrating because even the slightest mistake would make you get stuck inside a block. Normally, you could jump out of it, but that kills you as well in that part. How about replacing the black blocks with white ones?

You broke your fingers while playing the demo?
Anyway, I've added support for QWERTZ keyboards (Y/X), AZERTY keyboards (W/X), and Dvorak keyboards (Q/J). You will still be able to use Up/Down in the final game.

Good idea – I'll make this a secret. (There will be some more secrets, including color-based minigames.)

Again, this is a good idea, but I think I'll only make the first half like this. The other half will remain as it was.

That was a joke.
Anyway, thanks for answering.

What am I supposed to do when the game says "next?"?

By next, it means what comes next in the pattern. You created a.txt, and then aa.txt, so now you have to create the next one in that pattern.

Why didn't I think of that?
Anyway, now I'm stuck at the "filename and nine" message.

Development on Three Colours is going very well.
At school, I use my laptop as a notebook. It helps me take better and more detailed notes. But since I have Game Maker 7 Pro installed on it, and the Three Colours GMK, it attracts loads of attention during the breaks. I design and play the game with my classmates, and it helps a lot.
We've already created a new level. The current name for it is "Avoi's Secret" (pun on Avoid's Secret since "avoi" means "oh no" in Hebrew), but this is subject to change.

From what I can tell, it's done like that to confuse you. Which colors are real, the visible ones or the written ones?
Posted: Fri Sep 16, 2011 7:16 pm
by Blast!10
It's a double mislead. The written colors differ from the visible ones, leading the user to assume the written colors are correct, while actually the visible ones are.

We have a problem!
Some people in my class are not satisfied with the name "Three Colours", claiming that it is "not original". They have suggested some other names, which are all good in my opinion.
