Is it wrong that I'm far more excited for this than Sister Location?

Eh, it depends on how much respect you hold for Cawthon

The canon games have given up their swagger to the fangames as far as other creators are concerned on GameJolt and YouTube. That being said, while SL is a visual and maybe mechanic deviation from FNAF with a similar story, FNAS is a brand-new story based off Wonderland Adventures and of course some unique WA mechanics.

Do you guys think it would be better to release a modification of the first night, or the training hub once it's done, as a demo?
Also, does anyone want to help me in making a trailer?

Training hub.
What sort of help?

Good artwork or good custom models of the characters I'll be using in the trailer, and some help with animating as I have little experience with animating anything at all.

I can try to make models. Do you want to PM me details of the characters in the trailer? I'll do my best.

I recall having PM'd you an 'unfortunate' update.

Soon, a very soon day.
I was supposed to PM you this wasn't I?

I'd like to have the training demo out within a week if possible.

Should I wait until the full release to do my YouTube Playthrough, or should I just start with the demo?

With a bit more work, I foresee the demo coming out today or tomorrow. I will need to modify the main hub a bit though to make it possible to switch your progress from the training hub demo to the main game so you don't have to redo everything.
To answer your question, the demo's just a bunch of easy how-to levels, with a few subtle hints about the game sprinkled in certain levels. So go ahead.
I may release another demo showing the first two or three nights of game-play, since there's gonna be nearly a dozen, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

Out of curiosity, do you have an estimation of the time of release? Even "sometime in 2017" would be nice.

Demo will be delayed until later in the week so I can bugfix the hub area and add a logo.
Release time of the next demo should be within half a month. The game itself could be out as early as Halloween, but to be realistic I will set it to Christmas. I could do many smaller sequels that would take a month each, but for now I just want to focus on getting the big game out first.
In addition, I have to plan for the fact that some users will have WonderPlus and some won't, which limits my use of magic puzzles. I would recommend everyone gets it but I can't make anyone.

I personally don't see the problem - of course you can't make anyone download WonderPlus, but you can always make it required custom content. I actually don't have it set up, but I'd be willing to download it.

Same here. I see no problems with having Wonderplus.

About WonderPlus: I'm trying to reduce the huge amount of custom content being used, and anyway having to plan for both Bounce/Grey magic and null/black magic puzzles gives more solutions, as the last level in the demo shows.
Quick poll here while I'm working on the main hub now: who here wants the Wondertown arcade available in the game with a few arcade levels, and how many? I had settled on 18, but now I realise that's probably way too many.

You're probably aware of this already, but of course, MS won't let you distribute the levels in the original games. You'll have to make your own levels. Of course, it's okay to make more "Frogger" or "Brick Buster" levels, as well as choosing other retro games to recreate.
I think everyone would actually prefer the arcade as a seperate level/hub, with its own topic, but you should include it in FNAS because that's a good idea.
Again, WA3E doesn't work for me, so details of the editor above are probably wrong.

I think it'd be fun, and it would certainly look favorable in my review of the game. AS for the number, you don't need that many. I'd be happy if we just got three arcades and one level for each. If you did three levels for each, that'd be 9, which would be pretty much perfect for me.
On a side note, does the demo require WonderPlus to play? Just wondering about whether or not I should wait to install it.

I'll do just a few levels. Under 10.
You don't need the WonderPlus to play the demo but it could make the 'magic' level easier.

Ugh, Night 6 actually isn't 100% complete. There's a few things I forgot to check and they're making the level ugly.
A notice to MWM, MNIK, and Emerald: I'm PMing you requests on using original character concepts in the hub.
A notice to MS: I'm also making a separate PM request right now.

I haven't gotten any PMs, but feel free to use whichever characters you want.

Oh, thanks! Admittingly, it's kinda late to add a lot of characters, but the great thing about this hub is that I'm doing the 'hub' part of the hub with Wondertown last, so I can add lots of people.
If you don't mind, I'm seeing Mr. Billboard get revived for a *gasp* serious role in that case, because there are actually going to be serious sign characters. I can also totally make you a pop star like you were in Terrorble Temple's ice walls area.
I asked MWM this earlier, but do you mind me referencing (or showing part of?) TMD 19, where the duckoids invade the magic academy and Morklin flashes himself out? That's not super-important, but if you read that article above you might see why I'd like to mention it.

Just realised we're playing as the same character in WA and MoFI/PotZ. Patooters and Gaboonga (

) remember us when we're on Fire Island in MoFI.
