Sounds about right.

I sometimes do that, myself. :|

I figure this belongs in here more than the anime thread, though I suppose it could go in both. I mean, I'm not entirely sure why I'm posting it anyways, but... Whatever. :P

So for whatever reason (likely because I am a completely normal human being who isn't even remotely obsessed with anything and how dare you imply otherwise), I got the idea in my head last night that I want to cosplay someone from Attack on Titan. This has since become my current objective in life, meaning I will not be dissuaded until it's happened.

The immediate question was "Who?", which I answered in all of about three seconds, because one of the characters (Bertolt) looks kinda like I do. Hell, I'm almost as tall as he is, for that matter (there's a whole two inch difference there).

The next question was "For the 3D Movement Gear, do I want the manga design or the anime design?" I'm still not sure of the answer there, because then another question (and probably the most important one by far) dawned on me.

"Wait how in the world am I going to even make the 3DMG prop? I'm not about to spend four hundred dollars on one, so I have to make this myself somehow and I'm terrible at things like this, this was a terrible idea wasn't it"

So that kinda leaves me in an odd spot, wherein this is a thing that I'm going to do no matter what, but at the same time I don't even know if I have the patience to do it in the first place - Thanks to Google I have an idea on how to do it, though. I'm going to go out to a hobby store or something tomorrow, see what I can pick up in the way of materials, stuff like that. Whether it's tomorrow or a few days from now, I figure I'll either temporarily hijack this thread or make my own chronicling my vain attempts at putting together a prop like this, because I have no doubts it will be a hilarious trainwreck of epic proportions. :P

Well, I suppose it could be something you save up for in the somewhat longer run of things.

JA:HOTSP and Hidden Realms are like that, yes?

I hope you have good luck with this project of yours.

You should make actual functional 3D Maneuver gear.

Obviously you should cosplay as Christa. Armin did it once, so clearly you can too.

Honestly, part of my problem with projects in general is that I tend to get ideas and then pursue them relentlessly for a while, meaning I tend to end up with multiple projects at any one time. This has happened before, it's happening now, it'll happen again. :P

As for a functioning device... If I were a mechanic of some kind and had the budget, I admit I'd probably try, at least.

Yeah, but Armin's not 6 feet tall. :P

(Saying that my second choice for cosplay probably would be Armin, so there you go, maybe I can dual-cosplay)

So after doing some research to get an idea of proportions for the blade sheath on the 3DMG, it has occurred to me that - in seemingly every picture I can find - the blades are actually longer than the sheath itself.

This is... slightly problematic.

I wonder if there's a limit for how many times you can edit a post (after someone's replied), or if something happens once you reach a certain number of times... oh well, one way to find out! :)

I've edited a post about 119 times before.

Meanwhile: still stuck on inward hellix's third level yay

Good luck! :D

Also, you can't "double edit" the way you can double post, which is annoying, to say the least.

I am kind of looking towards a fairly plausible number of available edits.

That's how I keep my level list updated. :P

I've already edited it 41 times in a little over 5 minutes. If that's how fast you make levels, then...

Honestly, I'd love to be able to do something like that.

Alas, I have had a bit of a motivation block(not a major one, thank goodness, but one, and rarely the less), but I can still make levels; I just hope they're of as good of a quality as before.

I much prefer quality over quantity, and it's a shame to have one and not the other.

However, I feel it's just as bad having neither. :?

63 edits, and I finally found a fast way to do it! Press submit to edit it, then backspace to go back to the editing screen. Submit again, backspace again, etc.

EDIT: I beat SS01's record!

PROCRASTINATING RULES

No, seriously. There was a big project in geography last year that counted for 25% of our 4th quarter grade. I got a tiny bit done when we worked on it in class, but the rest was saved for the Sunday before it was due. And a 97 isn't a bad grade, don't you think?

Well, good luck! :D

Hehe, thanks. I only have to work a presentation and then tie up some extra stuff and I'm done.

I bought the humble rebundle today, and it came with two games I already own: Little Inferno and Awesomenauts. Since I have no need for another copy of either and don't have friends, I figured I'd just give it to whoever wants it. I could just give the links out on this post, but I'm lazy and I want more PMs. Basically, whoever PMs me first about the games will get them. You can take one game and not the other, if you want.

EDIT: I also received Hotline Miami. From what I understand, it's a good game, but I have no interest in it. Added to the list.

EDIT2: Another game, Monaco: What's Yours is Mine, added.

Games Claimed:
Little Inferno (Sammy_P)
Hotline Miami (jdl)
Awesomenauts (Koopson)
Monaco: What's Yours is Mine (SS01)

Games Available:
NONE
