You can ignore the steel box that's stuck in the white gate. In the ice area to your right there's a white timer button. First activate the purple timer, then go onto the ice, follow the steel box around the curve (watch your timing) and go back to your starting position. If all went well, the 2 steel boxes will push each other back and forth in a U-shape, keeping the white gates open. Now it's time to play with ice-reflector puzzle below. Good luck!!!

I think your gold star wás deserved, but if you really feel you don't deserve it, you can always return it to Midnight Synergy. I believe they have a special storage room for that....
