I experienced exactly the same problem .. I also got a "Memory Access Violation" too ... but re-loading the game and closing other applications seemed to fix it.
Give that a try, since it worked OK after that, I don't think any Halloween levels caused it per se - perhaps too much data at once ? - I dunno ...
Good luck

I was playing some of the levels on my laptop (doesn't have as much RAM/memory as the desktop) and a couple of them made the screen jerky, and
after I shut the game down, I got a MAV.
There may have been way too many moving objects in some of the levels.
(So, there really can be too much of a good thing ?

I got a MAV too after shutting the game when I first looked at the levels. I have 1GB of memory so it can't be that. It must be there's too much going on in some of them. There are 200+ coins in one of them. I used to have a hell of a problem with things like that when the custom levels first came out.
I haven't noticed anything funny with the sound or music though.

I don't know about the sound, sorry.
For the Memory Access Violation, there is one level that has a strange problem. After playing it, either when exiting the level or starting a new one you'll get the error. This is level F. There is nothing we can do about the error. If you've played it, after restarting wonderland just viist the other levels and you should be fine.
And for you entertainment, the error also turns a couple trees into ghosts. Kind of. They look like trees, but roam around like ghosts. So far, I haven't found anyone other than me that can see the odd trees so it's probably related to graphics card.
I took a movie of it if you're interested.
http://tatumweb.com/baby/img/ghosttree.avi. Watch the bottom of the movie at first. You'll know it when you see it. It should play with Windows Media Player. If you can't play it, you'll have to just look at thise one frame:

That's hilarious!

And real spooky!
I wonder what caused it...
