UFO Mothership

When I opened all worlds for the Deluxe Level Set, I played the level, "Payback Time, Part II" and I couldn't destroy the UFO motherships with
the cannons. Do the motherships have to be shot lots of times to be destroyed?

Motherships cannot be destroyed except for when it is at it's max height and it gets killed by a fireball...

I stepped on the gate buttons to kill the last UFOs so that the motherships would come up, and the fireballs shot the motherships. But the motherships
never got destroyed at full height being shot, and my time ran out.

A. This should NOT be in Puzzle/Action Levels
and
B. I think you'll find that Motherships can only be destroyed after they are shot many times.

Those motherships can be killed at the first try. I had success when mothership was just releasing new UFOs. Both mtohership and four UFOs were fired by one fireball.
