need red key to reach next area???

mayby I'm just tired but I just got all 11 red keys, got the red shard, used all 11 keys, now can't leave into the next bridge to the right to the next area because I have no red key?????
oh dear.......

You mean the mushroom keys? You just have to find more. Complete all of the puzzles, talk to everyone you think you should, and then unlock all the doors. Also, don't worry if you can't find them all. The only thing that you will gain from getting the extra keys is some bonus coins and gems, a token, and an extra star.
EDIT: Oh, no, wait, you already got all the items in the cave? There's nothing else there, you have to leave the cave and start exploring for your next shard.

yup, I got enough (11) to get all the goodies, but when I leave there....go back thru to the far right.....there is a bridge and red gate to pass....no more keys!!!!

OOOOHHHHH, you mean the red gate near the stone castle-like place? You need to go into the center of Wondertown, then go to the right, then go to the star gate and open it. From there, you can go up and unlock the door (There's a red button there).

Pretty much, it's just a way so that once you get that far, you can open a "shortcut" to make your life easier.

I'm having trouble getting started in the first level of mushroom farm to get to the red shard. It looks as if I need a red key to start the level, but don't know where to find them. The ones I've had so far have had to be used in other parts of the game. I'm really lost!!! Please someone!!!!!

Are you in the room with lots of red-ish gates, a mushroom and the red shard?

Yes, Mette. That's where I went first, but didn't realise that I had to go thro' Lazy Leaf etc, to collect keys and stars ad infinitum first. I am now wandering thro' these levels. I hope I'm on the right track for a while anyway. Does this make sense to you?
