I've managed to change this option but can't do the diagonal moves, anyone tell me how to please

Hold down two arrow keys
e,g. Hold down Left and Up, and you will be going diagonally Left-Up.

If you don't want to hold down two buttons, you can use the number pad if it's not a laptop. Turn off your num lock and the 2, 4, 6, 8 will move up and down while the 1, 3, 5, 7 will move diagonal.
