I was in the Forbidden Forest, exploring, when I went down from the lake area and got (something like (I can't remember exactly)) this message:
"could not load texture "watertex1"". Then my game closed down. Good thing I save regularly now.

That is what some people have been talking about.
Memory Access Violation (MAV).
Patrick/Midnight Synergy is trying to find a fix.

You are correct in saving often!!!!

Actually, I get MAVs all the time, but this texture thing was a new glitch. Because of all of these, I save after every level, and it's a good thing, too.

I save impulsively all the time, in every game I play that allows it.

I don't think this is a glitch. In RTW, when I was less experienced and wanted to see what every object does, I created two levels, one "Special Objects" and the other "Advanced Objects"*. I wanted to play Advanced Objects (It was a fun 3D level) and once got something like that (can't remember, it was a long time ago):
