Number of coins to have by now?

I have finished all of the puzzles that I know of in the lower portions of Wonderland. I have just entered the Land of Brrr and have 46 stars. Is this right? Does anyone have more before entering Brrr? I want to make sure I haven't missed any stars along the way.

Have you bought anything yet? Like a lamp or the spy-eye? That makes a difference!

I'm not talking about coins. I did buy some stuff but that shouldn't have an effect on my stars, or does it?
