A spy-eye doesn't work in the dark!

i mean't the light or the lamp that you're supposed to buy at the merchant.may i add that maybe you don't but I do use the spy-eye in the dark; maybe because i'm shortsighted but I can see forms. even in the dark with it, i can walk through, not for very long but it is doable.

The reason I asked that was because I had read it previously but it didnt make any difference using the spy eye as well as the lamp, just thought I was going mad.

I can not figure this one out to save my life. There are rocks blocking both pathways. What am I to do?
