I am the last part of the game. I just did the first cubes part and have only 81 stars! How are you supposed to get 104? I have completed all of the levels. Except for the ones I am on now.

Have you played all the arcade games? All the games have 3 levels e.g. 3 stars per game to get.

104? So you haven't installed the patch? So you can still blink thru walls. I suppose you didn't use that.

When you've got 98 stars, you've done every level including all levels of the arcade and got the stars outside the levels (like giving the letter to Noosee)
Look at the list on Mette's site.

After the purple shard you can get your last stars. In the Void you can't use the shards.

According to the website, if you have version 1.06 then you have the most recent one and don't need the patch. And I checked and I have that version. But it still says I need 104 stars to unlock the white gate that is in the market area.

You're absolutely right! See picture for proof!!!

Mistake of Midnight Synergy perhaps?

There are 105 stars to collect.
Once you're out of the Purple Shard, and done all arcade games and special stars (like the letter) you should have 104 stars. From the Merchant you can buy (or is it: get?) your 105th star.

That's how everybody before you has played the game.
