Have you ever considered to write every levelname down? And write aside if you done that level or not? Or just print out the complete list we made for Mette's site. Then compare it with all levels you've done.
Even write in which area that level is/was located? Demo Area (before you reach Wondertown), Wondertown, Sewers, Mushroom, Foggy Mountains, Forbidden Forest, Ruins, Wasteland, The Void, others (like the chanting dude, he's sitting in the Labyrinth) AND the Arcade.
Like Txpeach made the complete level list on the website.
I'll hope the problem in the Arcade has been fixed by Janetgalle.
Just use a token on a machine, the first golden star on the floor appears under you, then you play the first level. When you've completed 1 level, you'll get 1 star.
Then use a new token on the machine. A new golden (yellow) star appears right or left of you. Now step on it and you can play the next level in that theme. When finished the second level, use a third token on the machine, a new golden star appears on the ground and you can play the third level on the arcade machine.
Wakka Wakka (the pacmans), Crossroads (Frogger), Blast'em, Brick Buster and the Wonderland Adventures.

and read ahead. That's all you people have to do. But we will help you out, although most problems were already solved.
When you've done ALL the arcade games, you get 15, FIFTEEN stars, not 1
The level in the Forbidden Forest that looks like Crossroads is called River Crossings
When you start an arcade game, don't look for the star. There are none. Just finish the level. Then you get a star. This is the same as in the levels in the Void. To mention some.
You can get out in every level, just opt for the Abort Adventure and you're out
How to go out the Forest? Me and dlcs18 have made 2 walkthru's for that problem. Follow this link to it:

That dude in the Labyrinth is chanting for a reason. Haven't you collected the yellow shard? Then you needed the answer on that question for all those 7 expressions that dude made. The false option was 'Nih'. Or have you just read MY solution and answered the quiz without knowing why the answer was the correct one?
Please stop write: "I don't want to start another game" You AREN'T STUCK in the Purple Shard
That's the only place when you forgot to buy a bigger bag. Or you cheat
in that level. Cos you hate that fireball shot by the Thwart on the left and you need that key on the left.
Or even you have walk thru a stinker.
I don't think you can use more than 3 tokens on 1 machine. If it's possible, than you have a big problem or just load your last savegame.
In River Crossing are just 4 turtles, 4 coins , 16 gems, 1 pop-glove and 1 Brr-glove. No Golden star!
Just before entering every level in the game, there is a golden star on the ground. Okay!
Or do you mean Crossroads? No stars to be seen there neither.
Or are you having problems on the 3 levels of Crossroads? Then you are the first. We haven't written solutions for those levels yet. So let's made them now.

Losing stars??? Once you have one, you can't loose it!
...what does it serve for that laid back dude chanting.....was he? ...or just enjoying the flowers and so on in the forest section? I want to give him Flower Power circa 1960's ....and yes I was there!! for REAL! what a sweet thyme....yes, indeed...anyway, I have been able to get past that house and collect the coins and tokens because I bought a spy glass...AFTER

Hey Now, there were many in Secret Worlds. 
what the hay....I also found that gold star shining....meaning like I had not played the level...which I did...The Powder Keg Storage Level...okay...after about 16 billion tries....I cheated it way back 2 or 3 years ago....
