358LIZM - Pirate Quest 2. Port Pirate.
After a long and exhausting walk, Little Loof Fauntleroy arrives at Port Pirate, home of notorious brigands.
Using Popo's new model - jollyroger. Thanks Pauline!
Also using LeMarquis' pirate texture - MarquisT4. Much appreciated!
And some houses I've put together.
So all ye scurvy scum had better download ALL them files.
Ye know it's worth it, and ye know they'll all be used again.
If ye don't I'll make ye walk the plank!
EDIT: Apologies to Mark and anyone else experiencing problems with House4 (the first house on the left in Port Pirate). I've corrected it and reposted the file. Download again if you need it.

Ooooh this is shaping up to be a great adventure! This was as much fun to look at as it was to play
Thank-you Liz, thank-you very much!
BTW, I'm going to have to double-check the photos of Rose. See if there's one in her official 'buxom wench' uniform.

I've been really looking forward to this level, Liz.
But unfortunately it crashes with a message about the House Texture.

It has something to do with the size on your house4 texture.
That one is not sized equally the same as the other ones.

Yep, I had to resize house4. If you have a graphics program, photo editing program or something like that you can resize it to 256x256. There should be a check box which says 'lock aspect ratio' or something like that, uncheck it so that you can alter the shape of the jpg.
If you don't have a program to do it in then just replace house4.jpg with this one........in fact, just use this one anyway, it's easier.

Thanks for that Popo - but I don't really understand what the problem was. This one was 256 x 256 same as all the others, but I was working on an old template, so I think the door side of the house was a different size.
I redid it as well

and posted a revised zip file at the top before I saw this post. So if you're house doesn't look like this, dowload the house zip file again and replace the original one.

Unfortunately the revised version has a house4 texture sized 253 x 259,
This size will not load on some graphics cards.
Thank you Pauline, I was able to correct the problem with your post.
I've included all the house textures zipped together here.

What a fun level! Loved the looks and signs, Starbucks indeed! That one bonus coin was a challenge, but Loof Fauntleroy made it through for the gold and is ready and looking forward to the next adventure. Thank for all the fun, Liz!

Thanks all - and special thanks to Popo for doing the proper job with my house model. There's something strange going on with my art program I think.
Will look into it.

The original art worked for me. Maybe it's certain video cards? But then again the original I had was only one pixel off sized.

It's mostly Nvidia GeForce graphics cards that can't see the odd sizes. It doesn't matter if it's only one pixel out, it still can't see them unless they are spot on.

The story is beginning to unfold now.
Creative use of multiple actors with dialogue!

Rollicking humor with cool waterfront signs.
Looking forward to the next chapter.

What a great atmosphere! Loved the signs! Had to do the ending a few times to get it right, so swabbed the deck more times than necessary, but all in a days work in the life of a pirate wannabe!

Thanks Liz.

A little more difficult, but the signs are very helpful! I loved the whole level; it's cool how you come up with this stuff!
Thanks for the fun!

Missed a piece of thee booty on this one ...Arrrrrrr

Still a fine adventure ye wench
Ever since I changed computers (back in December) I'm no longer capable of seeing any of the custom textures, modles, houses, etc.. I can download & unzip them just fine (and yes in the correct folders) but when I open the level to play, no "graphics"
Anyone .. got any ideas??
After seeing the fun stuff I'm missing out on ... I'd like to figure this out

Did you used to be able to see the custom stuff on your last pc? If so then you must know how to download and unzip em.
Have you checked for double folders, or no folders?
Are you crashing when the graphics don't show or do you just get a normal level with pillars instead of models and the default texture.
If you're crashing then it's most likely your graphics card if the jpgs are the wrong size. If you're getting pillars then it's because it can't find the models so they must be in the wrong place.
Can you post a few screen shots of what's in your RTW directory so that we can see what's going on in there? I can have you not being able to see me models now can I?
