370LIZM - Pirate Quest 14 The Little Merman

Sheriff Longarm Lutz finally caught Loof-Lad.
This is what he did to the little scum! :lol: :lol:
You need to help Loof-Lad wiggle out of his trap. :wink:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For this level Popo has designed an absolutely fabulous texture and models. Just brilliant Pauline. Thanks so much. :D :D
The seaweed model is by Janet Galle - thanks JG.
PS: I'm taking a break from Pirate Quest for a couple of days. There's too much going on at home at the moment and I'm making too many stupid mistakes with the levels because I can't concentrate. Apologies to all.
Well Landlubber Lizzie you take a much needed rest sometimes that's the best thing to do when you feel like your messing up. No apoligies necessary. You do what you gotta do.
The textures and models are really superb Popo, they really made the level stand out. I enjoyed this one also Liz. Wasn't sure I was starting it right but I think there was several ways to do it. Then we missed a coin but found it. Thanks for the fun and have a good rest of your own. Stay idle.
The level looks great with the awesome texture, but I think the model file is not the model file, I am getting 2 texture files. :?:
your right JG. I just checked my model folder and they are textures for the floors and walls, I never bothered to check when I unzipped them.....hmmmmm makes me wonder what I missed. Liz did say she needed a break. Means I'll have to play it again when she posts the models. But that's OK, I don't mind playing it again.
Here's the model file for the level. I think it's because the texture and models use the same name that they get messed up when uploaded.
Off to play it now. Have a good rest Lizzie, you need all your strength for the rest of the series. :wink: :D :D
Thanks for posting the right file Poops! :D :D I'd better download that and replace the one at the top.
Loved it! Felt right at home underwater. In searching for a last coin, I found an object that I hadn't seen before and hadn't needed. But it's nice to have a spare, I guess. :D Loving the series, Liz. xoxox
A beautiful level! Had fun with all the puzzles. I also found something that I didn't use, but like Loirae said, it is nice to have a spare. Left with the gold, but without the idol. Thanks for all the fun, Liz! :D
I am amazed at the look of this level! Truly fabulous, Popo's and JG's stuff is a delight to behold! :D
Obviously Longarm Lutz is unaware of the shrinkage factor in cold water because Loofy slipped his shackles easily and found himself quite at home in his little underwater grotto! He did have to go top-side eventually, the gilly-weed was wearing off :wink:
Thanks Lizzie, lots of fun,
Well that certainly explains the signs a lot better. It actually looked like Loof was underwater, and I really liked the way it seemed as though he was chained to the Idol. Wonderful job on that model popo and it looked great the way you used it Liz.
"Harry Potter and the Curse of the Black Pearl"
Little known fact: During one of Harry's trips to Hog's Mead, he encountered a strange man calling himself Captain Jack Sparrow. He was a strange bloke who dressed neither as a muggle or as a wizard and the Trio didn't know what to make of him. But after a few Butterbeers at the Hog's Head, Cap'n Jack revealed that an evil force was at work on the oceans and the Black Pearl seemed haunted.
The trio listened carefully and realized that Davey Jones was being controlled my He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named and took off for a few hours to help Cap'n Jack get his pirate ship back.
To we mere muggles watching Cap'n Jack's journey, the magic was hidden and it seemed that he defeated Davey Jones through clever speech and wits alone. But now you know the truth. Harry Potter was under the invisibility cloak by the Captin's side the whole time.
How did you get the bonus without that "spare"? I musta missed something.
Excellant puzzler Liz!!! Took a few tries to sort this one out, ya know --which way to send those spheres :roll: :lol: but was able to do it quite nicely. Didn't use that extra piece either, I'm thinking - yes I'll save it for the next level otay :wink:
Excellant look and the models were great, I especially loved the chain and had to peek to see how he got it unlocked. :?
Thank you for another ace puzzler - home comes first we all know that!
The one by the exit? Travellated to it. :lol:
I tried travellating to it when I accidentally got the 'spare' stuck, but I couldn't reach it. Looflad had to take another gulp of air and start again. Had a couple of close encounters with the fastest moving sea slug in existence too, but eventually collected all the booty and made it to the surface. :D :D
I too had to have a sneaky look at how he unlocked his shackles. :lol:
I'm loving this series so much I don't know what I'll do when it comes to an end. :cry: Take a sabatical Liz and come back refreshed. Mwah.
I didn't use the spare either, I figured if I needed it I would just come back for it.
Monica that lil Pirate of yours is ADORABLE!!!!
I still can't figure out how to travelate to the coin without using the "spare" object. Ya all just amaze me at how ya figure this stuff out!
And yes Lizzie come back all refreshed and as creative as ever. This puzzle is my favorite as far as the "look" of it. Just amazing!
That little pirate is my grandson, he's 4 yrs. old and he had to have that hat and hook. Thinks he's jack Sparrow.
Liz..... I am enjoying Loof Lads journey tremendously.
Pauline.... the models you have created have all been first rate and have been used masterfully (?) by Lizzie. (The "floating" fishes had me holding my breath, and the sunken ship simply called out for further exploration!) Well done!
Holding my breath as I await the next adventure, thanks!
Thanks everyone - I'm enjoying a bit of a rest.
Loirae was kind enough to let me know how she got that bonus coin without using the box. Here it is:
I did tramp the boulder into the water, but I thought it was a mistake. Glad to see at least that was correct.
Here's the path I took:
I travellated Up and left to the boulder as if to exit.
Then went Down to the seaweed.
Then went left to the wall
Up to the space between the tramp and the boulder.
Down to the bonus coin island
Right to the seaweed
Up to the bonus coin.
Would've been much easier to use the box, I guess.
Hi Lizzie and Poopsie - this is the most spectacular level I have ever seen on Wonderland - absolutely STUNNING!!!!!! A big WELL DONE to both of you! Image
I have almost caught up on all your faberoonie Pirate Quest levels now - hope you don't mind me commenting on all of them on this thread!
I loved each and everyone of them. The mansion ones looked really brilliant! I went looking for hints on the one with the wood box generator and Keeks provided the clue when he said he was taking that coin by the kabooms too early! Also had a stinker trying to get the second dude home, then realised that he could go through the white TP - double DOH! I was trying to work out jumps to get him into the idol room! :roll:
Had the hardest time with the Jail one and the initial placement of the metal boxes - DOH! :twisted:
Your level design is second to none Mizz Lizzie and the models and textures add so much to these levels - go Poopsie and Janet! 8)
Now I see you have posted another level! I'll never get caught up at this rate! :P
Thanks so much for the hours of FUN FUN FUN! :D
Fabulous looking level, Popo and Liz! There is so much wide open space, it's hard to know where to go first. But I did figure it out, and had a close call when I hadn't collected the coins in left water. Luckily there was one place I could get off my boat to fix that.
Thanks!
