390LIZM - Pirate Quest 34 Jellyfish Island
Loof-Lad has at last arrived on Jellyfish Island in his desperate search for Qookie.
Popo has made me a brilliant jellyfish model - thanks so much Poops!

The other models in the folder are also by Popo. Please download - you know it's worth it.
Using my desert island texture which has been used many times before.
Sorry the levels haven't been flowing so fast - I haven't been well. And now I'm very busy. It's my Dad's birthday tomorrow and my daughter's birthday next week, so it may be a while before the next PQ.

That's quite a jelly fish

sure wouldn't want to tango with "him"
Excellant addition in your series, Looflad chose his footing carefully thru the

and wound up with his gold luckily it erupted after he was thru.
Thank you for another fun level and I sure hope you are feeling better real soon.
Happy birthday to all!!!

What a jellyfish! I'm glad it didn't have any stingers!

Loof-Lad worked his way down the mountain to the lagoon, finally got past it to the volcano. Ran the rest of the way north. I don't know what he is going to find up there, but am looking forward to finding out!

Thanks for loads of fun!
I hope you are feeling better soon, Liz!

Unco-operative z-bots aside, this was a real pleasure to work out, although I did get lost in the volcanoes for a minute!
Great fun Liz and a terrific model Pauline!
Thanks to both of you for the adventure,

Another grand adventure Liz.
And what a lovely glowing jelly fish, popo!
Fifty times I bouldered both botties, 50 times the botties were in the wrong (right?) spot so I got no boulder, 50 times I bouldered 1 bottie but then got bottie butted in my escape attempt.
So when, bruised and grouchy, Loofie approached the jellyfish and
miraculously didn't get stung, and then raced through the volcano without getting lost.... I swear I heard him give a victory cry of "YoHoHo!!
This was one of those where I just kept saying, OK, at least I know HOW to do it so I'll give it ONE more go........
Thanks,
jg

Do you recognise that jellyfish Janet? It's your spiffy ship with a dress on.

Ok, I've played so many games today, I must not be seeing clearly on this one. I'm getting clear to the end, and I have the two new boulders coming out of the generator, but the one that goes into the zbots room isn't keeping them on the white timer! But I can't get past them to push the boulder. I know how to do the blue timer and I have all the coins; it's just that one area.
Anybody......Help Please!

I doubt very much I did this like you wanted Liz. I was really confused in the room with all the boxes and boulders. I used them once to free the ghosts so they would blow the barrells so I could have a barrel to destroy the one boulder and generate a new one so the white timer would activate. Had to rethink all that. Ended up not even messing with the z-bots, got the gen working and got Looflad thru the white gate in time and off on his merry way with the gold.
The jelly fish was amazing, popo you do such great work. Hope your feeling better Liz. Happy B'day to everyone. What day is your daughter's b'day, mine is Tuesday, Oct. 2nd.
Looking forward to seeing how this one is supposed to actually be played.

Monica, could you tell me how you got through the white gate in time??
When the new boulder comes out and the zbots hit the timer only once or twice, I don't have time to get back on the travelator and get home!!

Loof-Lad was very happy that he finally reached Jellyfish Island. But I guess he has some more adventures to pass until meeting governour Qookie
Hope he doesn't get lost in the volcano.
Thanks for another fun level, Liz
I used only two wooden boxes to get the z-bots circling over the timer and left all the other items untouched.

Thanks Lutz

Right now I'll try anything. It's driving me nuts.

Never would have guessed it!
They do say there is a perfect outfit for everyone (er, everthing) out there.

I didn't use the boulders at all and simply put one box at the far left, just push straight left, just under that ice spot. The other box I had put at the exit so I just had to ice slide to run in, push the box in place to get the zbots going where I wanted em and then back out the ice slide.
Neither of the zbots escaped and it really wasn't very fast moving needed.

Robyn, thank you SO much for your post!

Going to try that now. Nothing else has worked for me yet.
I'll let cha know

Finally got er done Liz, I was after all trying so hard to make it harder than it actually was.
It looks like I did it the same as Robyn, either way it was fun challenge.
I absolutely loved the jelly fish and the volcanoes were a great touch for a very atmospheric level.
Thanks for the ace fun!

That's exactly what I did after countless times killing them with the boulder. Quick in and out again with a box did the trick.

Monica - your birthday is the same as my daughter's - 2nd October!
Two lovely Libra ladies. Happy Birthday for Tuesday Monica.
Re PQ 34, I messed up again as usual, so I posted the revised version which will be in the final cut!

I left out one very vital plasma cube up at the top, so you could use the wooden boxes up there any way you wanted.
This is how I intended the level to be played. I can see that the z-bot room is a bit of a killer - sorry folks.
WALKTHROUGH
1. Boulder #1 up into water, #2 down and follow to land on boulder bridge. Step on conveyor timer and push #3 onto conveyor. Push right steel box 1 right and tramp wooden box into water at red X. Follow and slide over ice at #4 to get red dude to shoot box. Collect coin out of fake wall at #5. Collect coin out of cyan gate below ice. Tramp left from #6 to #7. When safe push barrel from fake wall into path of boulder and step back. Boulder and barrel are destroyed and barrel generator starts. Red dude in pineapple is destroyed. Collect coin off green button and use top barrel to cover green button and barrel in fake wall for water at yellow X. Collect coins. Steel boxes in lava.
2. Push boulder #8 down. Push plasma cube in water and collect coin. Push boulder left which moves #9 down, it will come back to knock #8 into water by transporter. Now #9 will be just above the steel box bridge. Stand below and watch the z-bots. Timing is important here. As the first z-bot passes below the black X and is just entering the square below the left ice curve, push the boulder up. It goes into the water and starts the boulder generator. One of the z-bots is destroyed, and a boulder is at the top black X. Ride transporter right and go round collecting the coins, ending up above the transporter by the blue sphere. Push blue sphere down and run up to top transporter, riding it left out of the way.
3. Stand at the entrance to the z-bot room. As soon as the z-bot passes, slide up the right ice curve to push the boulder left round the ice to the other black X. This diverts the z-bot onto the white timer. Leave the room when safe.
4. Go back to the transporter. As the blue sphere is coming up on it’s transporter, ride your transporter right and quickly get onto the conveyors. From the message spot, walk right (east) until you stop, then walk up (north) which will automatically take you to the exit.

No need to be sorry silly! This was a great level (especially since I could solve it) as all your levels are.
Thanks so much Lizzie Bizzie!

I used the first barrel to get the dude in the pineapple, destroyed the boulder in the blue gate after I stopped it with a metal box. Collected the coins in the jelly fish pond, got sphere rolling over timer then went back and pushed one boulder over tramp, it came back and, sent other one round, put 1 in water, pushed other in water and Loof took off running for the other side and made it thru the gate in plenty of time. Don't you just love the way we can find a different way to do something when we can't do it the way it was supposed to be intended???
I was playing your revised version and doing it your way and now I remember why I did it my way. In order to get rid of the box to get the coin on the green button don't you have to push a barrell to destroy the box? If I do that I also blow up Loof. Of course I did find out that Loof can just slip on and off of ice and let pineapple dude blow box.

The revised version was a lot harder. I just couldn't get my timing right with those z-bots, but I got it done. Enjoyed playing it again.

Had to revise my moves in the revised edition, but made it out with a better score than with the first edition!

It was harder than the first, but just as much fun. Thanks Liz!

Have been coming back to this one for a few days Lizzie - what a stinkeroonie!
Lurved the opening room - so many cool puzzles! My z-bots were going around the other way to yours - so I never did get a chance to kill one of them - never mind, Old Lillie Quick Fingers (say that in a pirate voice please to get the effect

) managed to outrun the two varmits and I ran for home!
Ace level and the jellyfish model was so clever Poops

Loved the way you set out the whole level Lizzie - many thanks
