I've got 2 custom houses I'm using in my level and I want to put house#2 in 1 spot but 3 different views and this is what I'm getting. Why is this happening? Why aren't all 3 the same?

Popo or Lizzie would be the ones with the "for sure" answer to this BUT here's what I'm thinkin' cuz I had the same problem. In your custom house folder it depends on what the house is named and then which thingy you click to place it in the level.

I found that some house files have to be named a certain way in order for the editor to use the right one. Lets say if a house doesn't have all four directions specified in the folder then it will go to default if you pick a direction that's not there.

Make sense? I'm not very good at splainin' stuff like that. I hope that helped some.

Make sense?
....No....Beter do some more explaining.
I have my level set to custom, in the folder I have house1 and house2, I assume house 3 and 4 if I use them will revert to the default. All 3 houses in pic are house2.

I had this happen before and I just said to heck with it, but now it's irritating me.

You must not have put the house2 icon to the left of the leftmost house arrow. It has to be to the left of all the houses you want to be that texture.

Hope that helps you Monica. :D

Ok so for house 2 is there the full picture in there? In other words does house 2 have views for all four directions? Cuz it looks to me like you have 3 houses, one facing north, south and either west or east. So what I'm trying to see is if the house 2 file has all four directions on the jpg file.

It looks like you have two directions working but not one and I'm wondering if that portion of the jpg isn't there.

I know how weird that sounds but if I hadn't run into it on that second level I did I never would have thought of it. I had gotten an older house file (don't remember which one) and I could only use two directions or it went to the default house.

I'm probably off on this but it's the only thing I can think of, sorry M

OH MY Popo and I musta been posting at the same time.

Yeah what Popo said

OK, so it has to be 2 (arrow) 2 (arrow) 2 (arrow)
2 being the house

Thanks so much popo, I thought it was the other way around. That certainly explains a few things.
And thanks for trying to help Robyn. Yes, I only had 3 houses in there.
Now I can finish.

You only need one #2 at the left of the group of houses, it will affect all the houses to the right of it. If you want another house/group to the right of that one then you need to put the # to the left of the second group/house.

EG. 2 ↑ → ↓ - 1 ↑ → ↓

Thanks for the info. I had checked out the tutorial but I guess there's more learning to be had. I'm sure there's some other's out there that didn't know that either. Thanks Popo
